I think you might be running several mods using different data or data3d.pbo's. If you are using a mod with its own data.pbo's you should maybe install the sky in the same file. All the sky pack does is to replace a few textures.

Blackdog's spirit said "use Wilco's".

I confirmed this message with my Ouija Board. biggrin_o.gif

i use ECP, BAS, FDF, SFP and some others... noone use a data.pbo or data3d.pbo file

i replaced the original data and data3d.pbo files and now it works smile_o.gif [edit] nope, it didn´t... nothing changed[/edit]

guess it was some sort of conflict between the standard bis ones and yours...

That's strange.. it seems to work fine for most of the people.

Do you use HWTL? I have only tried that so I dont know if it works without..

if you're using windows 9x/ME the provided install batch doesnt work, you have to find the 9x version.

I'd suggest to search thru the original kegetys hisky thread.

I tested it without HWTL and I got the same missing objects.. It seems like the installer doesn't create a working normal data3d.pbo.

What kind of gfx card do not support HWTL? I know my old gf2 mx400 did support that and you can get better cards than that almost for free.

Try this

Quote[/b] ]It was the the ural I got a p3d error on and made any mission with it crash. So maybe you wanna try what I did.

Depbo the data.pbo and data3d.pbo in the res\dta or in res\dta\hwtl if your'e using HWTL.

Manually replaced the files with those from newdata folder in the hisky archive. *.paa and *.pac goes in data.pbo *.p3d goes in data3d.pbo.

Pbo it all together.

Make a modfolder for it and use a shortcut with the -mod command.

PS: I advice you to use cpbo which is in the bin folder. For me it was much faster. It's a command line tool, but if you open install.bat up in Notepad you should figure out how it works.

Hope this helps!

May work smile_o.gif

im thinking, can it be the update.txt file in the data.p3d file that causes the errors?

can llauma take a look at that?

im thinking, can it be the update.txt file in the data.p3d file that causes the errors?

can llauma take a look at that?

Do like this:

Install the sky pack as normal

Delete the ..llauma\dta\data3d.pbo

Go to ..res\dta and copy data3d.pbo to llauma\dta directory

Unpbo the ..llauma\dta\data3d.pbo with UnPBO

Replace the ..llauma\dta\data3d\obloha.p3d with the one in llauma\newdata directory

Use MakePBO to create a new data3d.pbo

Now delete the ..llauma\dta\data3d directory

Enjoy the game!

The installer unpbo seems to have problems with the data3d.pbo but as there is a solution for it and not many plays without HWTL I won't do anything about it.

If anyone has a fix for the installer/unpbo I would gladly use it.
