Konyak-2 0 Posted January 9, 2004 This is one of those "Only in America" stories  So is this one of those "Only in Germany" stories?  I'm no lawyer, loath them in fact , but I'm trying to imagine how he sees himself in the right.  He says that he put the tv in the box and into the cellar or garage, and cancelled the service.  That tells me he realized that he and his family could not control their TV addiction, and decided to take a drastic step to stop watching it.  Anyone who has tried to stop an addiction or habit cold turkey will know that seldom works.  In time his wife wanted to watch "some" tv, not cable but it turned out it was still working..  If the cable company had turned off their service like they were asked to, things might have turned out a lot differently.  Suppose this guy was addicted to porn, and wanted to "get better", it probably wouldn't help him much if his cancelled magazines kept showing up years after he cancelled them.  We'd say, oh, he could just toss them out when they arrive, but some people wouldn´t resist the temptation and just.. well, toss  Point is, he see's himself like an alcoholic that is getting free delivery of his favorite liquor, after trying to stop it from arriving.  I still think he's a moron, especially considering his requests, but there might be a chance he could have a case on the above grounds.  Hope to hell he doesn't win though  Konyak
