GoOB 0 Posted January 15, 2004 Hehe, I remember a legend for a picture of "Maki'n magic" in a Swedish gaming magazine. The whole review was humourous as a whole too. It said something like this under a picture of a sim calling upon the powers of some Egyptian god or something. "God is weak children, worship satan and Harry Potter!" OmniMax 0 Posted January 24, 2004 Hmm, I never saw that addon . I had to settle for drowning children in the swimming pool . Yeah, it's kind of interesting to play with such interesting dynamic programs -- a game like the sims. For example, did Will Wright code interracial mariage in? If two different people from different races have a child, is there a chance it will be one or the other? Or is there an in between? Or... If you have a father sleep with a daughter (if even possible) can they advance any of their skills beyond 1? I know it seems kind of er, sick or messed up, or not politically correct, but you have to see if Will Wright actually thought of these things while programming. I mean, in a dynamic program, you must be ready for every type of input possible! Anybody willing to test these things? Also, I believe they prevented you from getting service people stuck in the house (i.e: police, pizza, maid) in a recent version. Ah, bollocks.
hellfish6 7 Posted January 24, 2004 You can't have interracial marriages in Sims? I haven't played in a long, long time, but I seem to remember having an interracial lesbian couple.

OmniMax 0 Posted January 24, 2004 You can't have interracial marriages in Sims? I haven't played in a long, long time, but I seem to remember having an interracial lesbian couple. Â So it works!? Hm, I haven't had time to experiment enough. If you have all the expansions, try living as a tribsesman with all the bamboo\jungle stuff with little electrical appliances as possible. It's pretty challanging. Then when evil invaders come to your camp, trap them in the panji wall and have Village Idiot use the BBQ until he sets it on fire. Although I wish I had these gun addons... Sometime my sims get stressed and just needs some target practice... Hmm, maybe they will be pets in The Sims 2 along with these gun addons? Little Johnny with Red Ryder and Mrs. Norris' cat... hmmm..
SpecOp9 0 Posted August 28, 2004 Well I hear that Sims 2 has finally gone gold, and shall be released very very soon. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/thesims2/news_6105475.html After years of dominating the PC sales charts, the Sims is now set to enter a new era. Electronic Arts confirmed to GameSpot today that the Sims 2, the much-anticipated follow-up to the best-selling PC series, has gone gold. Rated "T" for Teen, the game will cost $49.99 when it goes on sale September 14. Expensive for a PC game if ya ask me....
Pathy 0 Posted August 28, 2004 I always veiwed the Sims and its spawn as a money grabbing commercial excercise....but i think the original stuff was probably pretty good....its just....you get lots expansion packs which are something a hobbyist could have made, costing Å20+ , in proportion to the work gone in...its a total rip off...... Well it pretty much is a money grabber. Maxis found the ultimate PC game for people of all types, it sold HUGE, so they obviously want to make more money by making expansions :P Hell, I would do it. SpongeBob 0 Posted August 29, 2004 Funniest thing I ever did in Sims: Just started out with a house. Not any house, a huge mansion with everything in it (used a money cheat). So the first day, the neighbors come by. They're a married couple with a kid. I start buying the wife gifts, telling her jokes, and all that. She's loving me. The next night, I call the family back. I keep going after the wife. The husband hates me. So after dinner, the husband went to take a shit in the bathroom, and for some reason, his wife follows him. Here's my chance to make my move. She's madly in love with me, and while the husband is sitting on the shitter, I propose to her, a couple feet in front of him, while he's got his pants down around his ankles. She accepts. I fall off my chair laughing. While on the floor, I'm reaching up onto my keyboard, mashing keys, trying to hit the screen capture button. I now have the control of the wife, husband and the kid. I had the husband and the wife go off to work while I stayed home and slacked off. Then the game got boring and never played it since. I like how the Sims 2 is looking, but not going to get it, its too close to playing with barbie dolls and shit.

Billabong81 0 Posted August 29, 2004 When I had a baby in the Sims, I would always basically abandon it. If you use that move and objects anywhere cheat, you can leave the baby outside all night long . Eventually social security came, boy did I get her in a fix ! I made a small building shaped in a square around the baby after she picked it up. She just kept walking into the walls. Sadly, when I loaded the game from my saved game she was gone . Skul 0 Posted August 29, 2004 It's always funny purposely killing and torturing sims! I had a pretty funny situation where a family's cooker was on fire. All but one of them were pointing and screaming (and eventually dying, too), while the other was calmy sitting on the sofa watching TV and having a good laugh at some cartoons! Crazy game! I have all expansions and SimCity 3000 and 4 (They like me better  ) The thing with Sims to me is to build houses, not the ¨go dating¨ and ¨make a good job¨ Even if I like The Sims I still like Doom 3 and other action games, so don't call me a sissy  EDIT: I sense that this thread will be closed soon becouse it's more then 4 months old.
