DC Resource Page - D70 Review - great page.

Not sure how much I can spend, the D70 might be an overkill for me. When is the D50 coming?

There isnt a date set yet as far as I know.

I have a D70 since a couple of month back now and I love it, it’s great camera. The kit lens (AF-S DX 18-70 f3.5 - 4.5) is surprisingly good too.

Yeah, downtown is very nice, but it's all so familiar now. Places like in denior's picture seem much more appealing than just going downtown and taking a look around at some more places I've gone around to before.

Yeah, the grass is always greener on the other side. But now that I live in Florida I can't wait to get back to Chicago.

But that said, yeah - anyplace besides where you are is good to visit, but even the most beautiful places in the world become routine after a while, in my experience thus far.

Is that their website, Albert?

One of my life dreams is to work in wildlife conservation in Africa - I've already done it here in America (though bongos are a bit more exotic than deer and coyotes) as well as volunteered at public zoos and aquariums.

Your aunt and uncle looking for any volunteers? I've got experience with ungulates, fish, herps, and primates. wink_o.giftounge_o.gif

Yes that is their website! Hellfish, what am I supposed to tell them? " I know someone from an internet forum, he seems nice and he wants to work a while in Kenya"  wink_o.gif Well I am sure they are always looking for volunteers and what they are doing is exactly what you wish to do! But if you realy want to apply then you got to do that yourself!  biggrin_o.gif It is a huge ranch with a nice hotel connected to it. And with Bongos you are not so wrong, especially since they are nearly extinct in Kenya. So what they are currently doing is to bring them from the US and try to establish them again in Kenya.

Their website has a lot of info and if you realy wish to live there (I doubt you still like it after a year) then you can collect some ideas from it.

And that under "game ranch lifestyles" that is my ount (sister of my mom).

Exactly.

But on the bright side, My photo's class is taking an Architectural Boat Tour down the Chicago River in May. I went on it about six years ago, it'll be nice to go again, hopefully will get some good pictures out of the deal.

That squatter's actually in pretty good condition... did you know that even in the relatively new and upscale office building that Sharp has their future technology exhibits in Makuhari just east of Tokyo, that they put squatters in this brand new office building in all the bathrooms? crazy_o.gif At least though you can squat over it, it's the subways and homes that have the ledge that forces you to squat in front and lean back... a very dangerous proposition. On the other hand, they are very water-efficent.

I decided to add a few photos since this sank to the third page and I enjoyed seeing other people's submissions.

Me on Poipu Beach (Kaua'i, Hawai'i)

022195jo.th.jpg

Me thumbing my nose at the US Government as I smoke a Cuban cigar and sip rum punch in Belize last Christmas. (Not the most flattering picture).

024215sj.th.jpg

Me as I "discover" scuba. Again in Belize.

023202kd.th.jpg

Where we got our groceries in San Pedro Belize. I'll leave it for you to find the easily discovered humor in this pic. I should mention that right out of frame to the left is another, obviously not so religious (or business savy) grocery store.

Belizian Sunrise.

I found it humorous that the grocery store sponsored the religious statue, and put their name on it. Probably much to the chagrin of the grocery store that was next to it.

Also if you look just past the statue, you see someone that looks like they are reclining on something. That's my brother on the backseat of our large golf cart. It was a an hour long trip by gas powered golf cart from where we were staying to get to San Pedro. It was certianly an adventure. When I get home tonight I'll post pics of the road we traveled.

Also, the sunrise tounge_o.gif picture was on our 3rd or 4th day I think. We were going to get up early the first few nights, but the first night we were tired from traveling, then the second night they had karoake that needed to be slept off...badly.

You'll notice that just as the sun peaked over the horizon, a cloud moved in the way tounge_o.gif
