Yes and no. Yes because OFP´s engine is kind of old news because they have spent quite some time developing it. On the other hand, have you seen the GORGEOUS flamethrower in Return to castle Wolfenstein? My jaw hit the floor the first time I saw it in action, which brings me to another point: We were about 20 players on both sides, I am on a crappy ISDN connection and I could see at least 3-4 flamethrowers going off all the time, including mine, in addition to everything else going on. Most of the time I couldn´t even notice lag of any kind! I don´t know how they did it, but it looks marvellous. If anything similar could be used in OFP to simulate burning vehicles and planes, it would look stunning.
