Think anyone could do this?

How about a tank thats turret blows off when its destroyed, maybe make several models and have the standard one swap out with the turretless one @ destroyed and have a separate model for the turret and have it flying through the air. Just thought that might be something cool and challlenging for someone to work on.

I though about that aswell, but not only for tanks, other vehicles could get alot of benefit from it.

I don't know if is a way to tell the engine that a vehicle is going to be destroyed, so when the amunition is so far from it OFP know that the damage is going to be great enoug to destroy the vehicle or not, if so, a script could be made to replace the vehicle with the necesary parts, so when it gets blowed off we would get all this phisical parts jumping and flying from the explosion.

Same could go for human models, and if you want to make it more gory(Spell?) add some particles like the ones from the blood addon and make a reall mess when a human model gets hit by an explosion crazy_o.gifbiggrin_o.gif

The turret could be done, just make use of hidden selections.Hide it when its destroyed and better yet unhide a destroyed one too.

The bits and parts flying could be p3d files you make and the drop command

The SB2C Helldiver is being reworked and will make use of damaged hidden selections
