Powerslide 0 Posted October 13, 2003 The Coyote and LAV III have been vastly improved. Stability issues have been fixed as well as new optics and more accurate weapons loadout. This is V 0.96 of each unit, head over to the vehicles to download them both. Thanks to Sigma for the improvements. EDIT:Please read the read me before install, it requires our troops and Cpack addon too.

Mr. Snrub 0 Posted October 14, 2003 Great work guys, I like the these a lot. The texture detail is outstanding! Just a few comments... - the Coyote seems to be missing a few textures, namely the interior (both gunner & driver), on the side of the vehicle and on the commander's optics. The LAV textures are all there. - the gunner's optics seem to lag quite a bit. This isn't a problem unique to this addon, as it's happened with other vehicle optics and sniper rifle scopes. It lags even when I'm on Desert Island, looking at nothing detailed and with view distance pretty low. It makes it pretty hard to use the optics...any ideas? Other than that, top-knotch! Â Do you have the CAF_WLSAVR pbo in your addons folder? It's a common texture folder used by the Bison, LAV and Coyote, there should be a new one in the LAV zip. As far as lag on the optics it's a high res paa, it looks pretty but I imagine it could lag a bit on some systems. I will talk to Sigma about it. It doesnt lag for me but I have heard a few complaints in the past. Thanks for the comments.

Acecombat 0 Posted October 14, 2003 Well i have one major gripe with the LAV and ONS When will you guys release final versions its not feasible for us 56kers to go on and on every other wek d/lding the whole addon again ... could you like give us a estimate as to when the final will be released? Or will you guysrelease it with the MOD fully?
bonko the sane 2 Posted October 14, 2003 Really nice update, the textures are getting better and better. BUT: I get a weird bug on LavIII , when im in as gunner I see the driver in front of my optic at certain angles, with or without "v" pressed, the driver is halfway out of the vehicle, with 3rd person on he is not there. But i rarely use 3rd person (only good for pretty pictures). EDIT: Anyone else has this,or is it another addon conflict?

Yes Bonko this is a problem created by a turret on a wheeled vehicle, I am not certain it can ever be fixed. It's all part of the issue with wheeled armor, sorry. Mr. Snrub 0 Posted October 15, 2003 Well i have one major gripe with the LAV and ONS When will you guys release final versions its not feasible for us 56kers to go on and on every other wek d/lding the whole addon again ... could you like give us a estimate as to when the final will be released? Or will you guysrelease it with the MOD fully? It's more unreasonable to suggest that ONS or any other mod team only ever release one version of an addon they create. There are inevitably going to be bugs that have been overlooked, thus requiring a new version, or the team might want to add a new feature or two. No doubt all addon makers would like to bring out a flawless version every time, but this isn't realistic. If a new version of the LAV appears "every other week", what's the problem? It's not like they bring out a new one every 10 minutes... Just for the record, I'm a 56ker and I am more than happy to d/l every new version that comes along. Anyway, back to topic... Any word on why my Coyote is missing textures?
Powerslide 0 Posted October 15, 2003 Mr. Snrub, can you email me a few screenshots please, check our site and email them to the contact button, I will check into it. Thanks.
One 0 Posted October 15, 2003 awsome work ONS - these things really woop ass now, before i had troubles with the AI, but now they tear down squads of whoever fairly easily, definitely dominate , where most apcs get blown to pieces from rpgs i think im gonna depoly a Canadian peacekeeping mission on BAS' Tonal Island with these things
Mr. Snrub 0 Posted October 15, 2003 I'm going to sound like a bit of a twit, but I re-extracted the CAF_WLSAVR.pbo my Addons folder, and hey-presto, no more textures missing Thanks for your prompt help anyway! Now they are perfect!
GoOB 0 Posted October 15, 2003 Looking great, downloading it now. One thing though, can you put ALL your vehicle addons up for download on your homepage? It's tough job to look on OFP.info after it And I hope you are updating the ILTIS pack soon, one of my favourite car addons for OFP EDIT: Hehe, Mr.Snrub I missed that the first time aswell. Although it said that it was required I never reacted

SPQR 0 Posted October 20, 2003 I also have the driver bug, even when in the seat of the first passenger (i.e. inside the turret, near by the gunner), while looking through the episcop when the gunner is firing. Moreover, by night, while the crew hasn't any NVG, the driving light are on, and it's impossible to switch them off (not present in the action menu. Nevertheless, I like them very much, as they are more adapted (mobility & rate-of-fire) for low-intensity conflicts than main battle tanks... Great work indeed
Sigma-6 29 Posted October 22, 2003 Well, remember that these are in a class that isn't supposed to work at all in OFP, so a lot of bugs are a result of that and can't be fixed. Unless somebody knows how to stop the driver from briefly appearing like that (sometimes he goes away, oddly) as a cargo proxy instead of the proxy he's supposed to be, there's not much I can do. Assault (CAN) 1 Posted October 26, 2003 Sigma, Powerslide. Could either one of you please delete my account on Operation Northstar's site? I forgot my User name and I can't create a new one because I can't create two users off one e-mail. Thanks. BTW, have either of you been to this page? LAV III pictures. It has plenty of usable pics for any future versions. Â Tyler [edit] Nevermind, judging by the interior of the divers compartment of the LAV III in game I see you have already acessed the site. Â Does anyone else have problems with the LAV shaking violently when sitting alone in the gunners seat while the vehicle is still? It only seems to stop when I fire a shot, then it starts again. I had the same problem with the Jeep/.50 cal.
