I think the game comes with a manual(Just a normal manual).Its just if you want a really nice manual, that looks like what the real pilots use, then you have an option of buying that manual from lomac-manual.com web site.

There is a limited manual with the game.

The full manual is in PDF on the cd.

About performance; you won't get that high fps in the full game due to the terrain-size etc

ok thanks for clearing that up as for graphics wise ive got everything turned all the way 8XAA and 4XAS plus all the nice things like heat blur and so on smile_o.gif

now i know what chrimbo pressie is going to be

heh... heatblur is a real FPS killer, for me if i turn it on i go from 15-20fps to 1fps... slide show anyone? rock.gif

possible sumthing to do with the fact that my machine is an ex ibm server as its got two 2.8 intel xeons, 4 gig of ram and a geforce fx 5900 and it only cost me Å500 smile_o.gif

cuase i run flashpoint with everything turned up to the max aswell view distance and terrain

its just a pity that games dont support multiple processors as im only just using one for games, saying that 3d max and maya yous them and it makes multitasking really good

I have a (simple) problem. When i start a mission "from parking area" i can't start my engines. I tried the keys (Home=start engines,..left engine..ext) and also tried turning on the powerswitch (shift+P), but still no luck. What am i doing wrong?

I press alt+PGUP for one engine, shift+PGUP for the other one.

Thanks for the key combination (HOLD DOWN!!!) Works perfectly, well perfectly...starting engines is a really FPS killer (from +-30 to 2 wow_o.gif but the haze is so good on advenced).

sad_o.gif One more: did mid-air refueling (worked semi...plane acts strange) but i can't refuel (or rearm) on the airport. I tried R and ctrl+R (near the tankers), but no luck.

PS: the "no full-screen" sometimes bug my layout (especially the BAR on F2 and F4 view. It sticks around the 1024 pixels height). Anyway, hopefull the first patch will fix some of these bugs.

I changed Terrain Preload from medium to high (a little longer load before mission), changed water from low to medium, effects from medium to high and texture resolution from medium to high.

I have now pretty much the same fps as I did before but the graphics is alot better.

~20-35 fps.

One more thing. I noticed no difference on performance but nicer explosions when I went from 16bit to 32bit on the colours.

When you've come to a complete stop on a airfield (no need to turn off engines), hold CTL+R to refuel and push CTL+W to rearm.

I'm hoping for Eagle Dynamics will include a repair function too. Sorely needed tounge_o.gif

For those who do not know:

You can add any in-game weapon to any pylon on any plane by editing this file: \Lock On\me\meinit.xml

I can't assign anything to the A-10's pylon 6 (center-pylon). It is missing a definition earlier in the file and I don't know how to define it. So don't try to add anything to it or Lock On will crash/lock up when you click mission editor, options etc.

Oh, anyone managed to edit a mission and change a flyable plane (F15) to a unflyable plane by changing its ID? I tried it (for fun), but edited mission couldn't be loaded again  sad_o.gif

Anyway, i hope they will make the F16C flyable soon.

I think its a bug in the editor. The flyable aircraft has to be the first plane in the first group or you'll just become a spectator.

hehe it was fun to toy around with the loadouts.

Now I've settled with a little more reallistic mod-loadout.

I'm not sure if it is 100% reallistic or not, but I'll see if I can find some "real" info on it.

Here's the possibilities:

Pylon 5 & 7: up to 2x Mav TV/Mav IR, up to 2x MK82, up to 2x MK20 or 1x MK84

Pylon 4 & 8: up to 3x Mav TV/Mav IR, up to 3x MK82, up to 3x MK20 or 1x MK84

Pylon 3 & 9: up to 3x Mav TV/Mav IR, up to 3x MK82, up to 3x MK20 or 1x MK84

Pylon 2 & 10: 1x MK82 or up to 2x MK20

Pylon 1 & 11: unchanged

Max loadout weight possible: 6.600KG <--- is this reallistic?

According to the percentage-bar in LO-MAC that is 91% (with full tank).

edit: Yup, I got another 600KG to work on biggrin_o.gif

7.200KG is max take-off weight. I just have a hunch if I hang anymore weight on pylon 2 and 10 (outer pylons) the wings will break rock.gif

BANO, afterburner and other effects will not cast shadows now.

Cockpit camera speed control commands are functional (Ctrl+Left Shift, Alt+Left Shift, Right Shift+Left Shift). Corresponding speed values in the Config\View\View.cfg are functional too.

Labels are much more configurable now (Config/View/View.cfg).

ECM was removed from MiG-25PS.

The F-117 has no chaffs or flares now.

Incorrect route saving from state restoring is fixed both for Human and AI.

AWACS-View is now working in saved state games.

Corrected keyboard-only pitch control. Disabled automatic return to the neutral position.

Disabled mouse speed scaling for TrackIR.

Host can now respawn in multiplayer.

Missile and gun accuracy is greatly increased in multiplayer.

New text messages are now automatically shown at the top of the screen in multiplayer.

nForce2 lag problems have been significantly reduced.

You're probably overspeed. Deploy the speed brake until you're below about 450 km/h, then try again.

Hehe, my very first landing in Lomac was surprisingly a success, even though I had run out of fuel 40 km away from the airstrip.

After that I had several failed landing attempts because of approaching too fast and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't let my gear out.

No, that's only for the editor.

In the cockpit it shows km/h in the russian aircrafts and knots/hour in the american aircrafts.

But there is a bug that can stop you from lowering your gear or flaps.

Just keep trying lowering the gear and flaps and they will come down (unless your hydraulics have been damaged).

You sure you don't mean 4?

or were you flying one of those fast "things"? tounge_o.gif

Longest I've managed to glide with the A-10 is around 2 km starting from an altitude of 4000 ft.
