-TU--33ker 0 Posted September 14, 2003 Maybe he was a nationalist right wing guy who was either against the Euro or had enough of the socialist governement and wanted to kill a popular minister...
Longinius 1 Posted September 14, 2003 "Aiming for the liver does not seem a work of some irrational nutcase, unless he got lucky of course." Well, even a nutcase might know where to stab. He might be instable, paranoid and totally FUBARed, but that doesnt mean he cant read. Watch movies. Or have trained some kind of martial art where you learn which areas are most voulnerable. Even in regular old Shotokan Karate we had a trainer who mentioned the most vulnerable parts, so you knew how to protect yourself in a knife fight. That could easily be turned around and be used when on the offensive.
denoir 0 Posted September 14, 2003 They've released uncensored pictures of the suspect: Now tell me, does that look like a homeless person to you? Â
Bluesman 0 Posted September 14, 2003 Well having worked in mental institutions I can say this. Really dangeorus persons can look surprisingly normal on the surface. BM
Gollum1 0 Posted September 14, 2003 Actually, the police said he wasn´t a suspect yet, just "someone they wanted to talk to", eg. he could also be "an important witness." But the other witnesses must have already IDed him from the photo...he matches the description perfectly!
llauma 0 Posted September 14, 2003 They said first that the killer was between 30 and 40 years old but the guy on those pics might as well be just above 20.
Gollum1 0 Posted September 14, 2003 I think the haircut and clothes match, anyway.
Longinius 1 Posted September 14, 2003 Thats the suspect, not some possible witness. They would never release a picture of a possible witness to magazines like this. They wont call him a suspect though, but it IS the guy. He has the cap, the hooded shirt, and they released his full picture
iNeo 0 Posted September 14, 2003 And he didn't contact the Police like he would have if he only was a witness.

Longinius 1 Posted September 14, 2003 Hey, that doesnt have to mean anything. Maybe he has commited some other crime, and is scared of the police. Or scared of the government for some other reason. Maybe he left the country on a trip before the pictures were released, never knowing he is a suspect. But if it is the guy, he will get caught. They have his picture, they have his DNA and they have witnesses. "cant see any blood on his hands." The pictures were taken before the murder I think, so there shouldnt be any blood. iNeo 0 Posted September 14, 2003 Hey, that doesnt have to mean anything.Maybe he has commited some other crime, and is scared of the police. Nothing as bad as a minister murder so the better choice would probably be to contact the Police and clear things out. Maybe he left the country on a trip before the pictures were released, never knowing he is a suspect. If he has left on vacation or whatever, surely some of his friends should have called the Police and told them so. Unless they want him to be an innocent suspect. SpeedyDonkey 0 Posted September 14, 2003 cant see any blood on his hands. Again, those pictures are taken before Edit: Oh... Longinius allready pointed that out
GoOB 0 Posted September 14, 2003 Hrmph... [sarcasm] I never see any males that look like that [/sarcasm] That is like the most common look around, and it does not look like a homeless person. Unless that person has taken off his jacket (I have never seen a homeless person without his jacket, even in the summer) It looks like your oridinary "svensson"
Longinius 1 Posted September 14, 2003 "Now tell me, does that look like a homeless person to you?" Nope, but he can still be a loony... : /
llauma 0 Posted September 14, 2003 Swedish police would never release a picture of a person if they were not sure that it's the guy who did it. At least not when he is commonly considered to be the murderer. The witnesses has propably confirmed that the person on the pictures is the one who did it. The talk about him maybe being a good witness is just bullshit.

-TU--33ker 0 Posted September 15, 2003 IMHO this guy is already out of country... They were all searching for a guy in an army jacket and in that time he could have escaped to... Norway... I still go with the theory that he's not a lunatic and was completely aware of what he has done.
Longinius 1 Posted September 15, 2003 I dont think he has a big chance of getting away. Atleast not if he is a Swedish person. If he was a hired killer from another country then he might stand a chance. But he must have relatives, or friends, or had some contact with other people (work, institutions or whatever). Point is, someone knows him. They have his picture and his DNA. If he is Swedish, they will get him for sure.

brgnorway 0 Posted September 15, 2003 They have his picture and his DNA. Where did they get his DNA from? He supposedly cut himself while stabbing Anna Lindh. This can happen quite easily too. I cut my hand a few years ago when my hand slipped on the grip due to a wet hand - and I'm even very used to using knives. I guess if you stab someone and there's not a stopper between the grip and the blade it's even easier. Too bad the bastard didn't cut his own throte! Edit: I just thought about it (ok, so it's not rocket science) but an offender stabs a person in the stomack - wouldn't it be likely that the knife eventually hits the the ribs in the back? If an average woman weighs about (I dare not ask my fionce) 50 - 60 kg the knife suddenly stops and the hand holding the knife slips forward. Could be like this I guess? brgnorway 0 Posted September 15, 2003 Newsupdate: The police have found DNA material in the caps found nearby the crimes scene. article in norwegian: http://www.aftenposten.no/nyheter/uriks/article.jhtml?articleID=625608
bn880 5 Posted September 15, 2003 Well with a long enough blade of course he would probably hit the spine as well... he probably cut himeslf as it's not so easy to cut through some clothing. Who is this aishole. EDIT: It looks like he's in pretty good physical shape. Probably knew very well what he was doing.
