Major Gripe 0 Posted August 19, 2003 After trying to play the BAS Blackhawk demo mission where you have to keep you altitude below 25m I finally decided to try and fix the problem that plagues every helo in my OFP. With me as pilot if I start the engine of the helo, they wind up and the chopper then takes off without me touching 'Q' and continues to rise to its maximum altitude. Similarly in level flight the helo will suddenly start to climb without any touch on 'Q'. Therefore making the BAS mission impossibly difficult!I've tried reinstalling the whole shebang (from 1.00), removing all user addons and I'm currently running 1.91. I know there were problems with the collective in 1.85 but I thought it was remedied in 1.90? Please can anybody help, I'm willing to be your biatch for life if you can find a solution!! acidcrash 0 Posted August 19, 2003 do you have a joystick with throttle control? as i had something similar a while back and couldnt figure what it was till one day i noticed the throttle was pushed all the way forward and so was constantly trying to climb Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Mister Frag 0 Posted August 19, 2003 Controlling helicopters properly with just a keyboard and mouse is extremely difficult -- if you don't have a joystick, I would strongly advise getting one. With a joystick, it is quite possible to keep the chopper below 25 meters the whole time. I often fly choppers below 10 meters this way, hugging the terrain for cover.
