Dwarden 1124 Posted August 5, 2003 It will be nice when 1.92 implement (like Ut2003 or BF1942 done) noCD feature ... when patch is installing it asks for original CD and e.g. then use system hw devices to generate some value which gets stored for OFPR executables and when OFPR is started it looks onto that value and not ask for inserting CD until some hardware change (which makes checksum to fail). no this is not to support piracy, just to give us paying users more comfort ... thanks ... Major Fubar 0 Posted August 5, 2003 It would be great...and it's good to know that other games have set this precedent...but sadly, I don't think Codemaster's would allow BIS to implement this, as it could still be used to allow multiple installations from one disc...
