It´s perfect!

but for some reason, when i start on the ground, the fuel disapires  wow_o.gif ? why´s that?

EDIT: lol nevermind about the fuel stuff, read the hole tread smile_o.gif

Excelent work!

The bad news:

The altimiter reads about 25 meters too high, and the suspension on the wheels is a bit off, if you look at it. Also, passengers in the cargo area can't be seen from outside the chopper.

really looks good... anytime u kill 9 abrams with one vehicle in ofp is to much lol... is this thing Next Gen like the Comanche or its already in full service?

One other thing I've noticed is that when it says like Weapons/Cannons failed, they still work when you fire them.  Maybe, the weapons/ammo could be removed when its damaged?

If you use them vs. more realistic M1s(like the ones from Sigma's tank pack), the M1s won't be as vunerable.

I threw together a quick duel between a Comanche and a Havoc in the editor, and each time they both destroyed each other. Perfect balance! biggrin_o.gif

ok, i found a few bugs that havent been mentioned yet

white box thing appears when you hover low over water

the little boxes come out of the gun instead of empty shells, thats what im guessing

and if you take off with the doors open the "door open" alarm keeps going off even when you close the doors

and i also cant see the guy in the cargo

-the engine and rotor sound could be a little louder, its really quiet right now

and tanks dont shoot at it, and machine gunners dont shoot at it either

but vulcans and stinger guys will

- found some more things,

it really sucks at shooting stuff in the air, it always misses, like other choppers

and when you get shot down, sometimes you fall out of the chopper, and then fall thru the land and into water

i had it matched up against 2 ash realism apaches, and they killed both of the havocs quite quickly, which i think is good, since russian stuff isnt usaully as good as american no matter what its claimed to be or do or whatever wink_o.gif

to me the havoc is sorta the russian "equal" to the apache, and that the Comanche is a much more advanced chopper

comanche isnt even in service yet is it?

Lol, what you call 'American' is generally what the British have designed and then sold to you. Also a lot is multi national.

Anyway, back on topic, when setting up a remote game with this addon the clients tend to crash, while the servers runs it fine. Strange problem.

Those white boxes from the guns are the spent cases, which are not textured (or what ever they do to them crazy_o.gif ) yet. That will be changed.

BTW: the MI28 is more balanced with it's intended counterpart, the AH64. Try it against that   wink_o.gif

Another thing: PLEASE dont turn this into a "my country's equipment is better than your's" thread.. just leave it at: the Mi28 would not be made inferior would it? It's newer than most things the US has, and is therefore designed to blow it up and probably can. If you are going to build a weapon, you dont make it so that its weak. oh, btw: the M1 tank is not going to be very well armoured against a flipping missile is it? They are more vulnerable than you think..

thoses white square appears only if you do not have DKM RAH66 I think.

If I inactive the commanche, I have white square. But if it is active, I have the water effect.

anyway, great chopper. Nothing important to complain about.

Just some textures missing, but you mention it.

I love to start the rotor smile_o.gif . This is a very good idea to warm the engines before the rotor starts.

It's one of my favorite chopper addon. Thank you DKM

Ok, there's a trick, if you have 2 soldiers in the cargo and then have the first in disembark the 2nd will show...

I dont know if it helps the debug process.

as for the double-double engine sound, i havent noticed that unless i keep my finger on the up key a little after ignition.

Another bug maybe some can check if they have it too: i played a mission on a non-dedicated server hosted by someone else and the pilot hud showed as when the engines are off [except for the weapon "icons" if i remember] but the host had complete hud indicators.

Anyway, this is already one of the best choppers out there, no doubt that you dkm will again raise the standards of pro quality addons when it's finished.

And thanx for making a Russian chopper, they are my favourite (just my personal taste)

the white plane on the waterlevel is caused by me; i forgot to reskin it..:) it's the same model as the comanche uses, hence it has its texture inside comanche addon.

Installing comanche in your addons folder will fix it.

The double startup sound is caused by pressing the up key two or more times.

The cargo soldiers display missing is a result of accidental delete of a proxy while changing weapon loadout for this beta release.

Dogfighting with guns really sux, the AI gunner cannot aim straight (OFP problem)

In the final release there will be different weaponloadouts, some of those will be effective against airtargets.

This version is intended for air to ground battle and cant really dogfight.

The altimeter is showing you barometric altitude, fly to the sea and dip your wheels in.. and you will see the altimeter showing 0, as it should.

so when you see 20 when on ground it means the ground ure on is 20m above sea level.

When I add the MI28 to a mission and save with the mission editor, it places "DKM_Mod" in the Addons and AddonsAuto sections of the mission.sqm file.

This is wrong, isn't it?

Will the MI-28 cause "missing addon: DKM_Mod" errors with non-related missions, as the Comanche still does?

Hmm..well one of the MI-28s role is chopper escort so it should be able to do OK against air targets.

For "the gun aiming to high" problem:

If you can't change the aiming then you could so something with the bullets. I mean I only hit ground target while moving (not especially fast) when I fly really low. I think it could be solved by increasing the "size" of the bullets or something. That it will hit even when it would pass it's target closely in realty.

I don't know if that can be done but it's just an idea.

If you solo-pilot the MI28 without a gunner and flip through the weapons, a weapon with no name shows up with a count of 1. When I changed the mission to include a gunner, this no longer showed.

Iv'e killed nine T80's with the AH64 before so I guess this evens it out, even though I had to use the 30mm at the end it worked out and I knocked out a convoy consisting of nine or ten T80's and atleast one T72. And I do belive a few Mi-28's are in service, but not full scale.

I noticed that when you are riding in the back(in the small cargo space. That must be damn cramped), you get at least 6 open door commands and at least 6 close door commands. I tried a few, but they did nothing.
