1. try reading this topic on organising your folders:

http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=31349

2. I had the same problems with Buldozer: no matter what I do - white textures.

I am running winxp and it seems it is a "subst" problem.

It helped, when I took the visitor2 folder and put it inside the c:\buldozer. Then I subst'ed and created drive X:, so in the

end I got my visitor in the folder X:\visitor2.

By the way - the same goes with my o2 folder, which is at X:\o2.

3.Don't forget to change parametres in tools-> project preferences. That is if you're planning to use ofp textures - unpbo landtext.pbo in your x:\landtext dir and set "tools-> project preferences->Folder - Textures" to X:\Landtext.

Hope this helps.... Sorry for my language.

4. Try copying your flashpoint.cfg from your OFP directory to the Visitor directory, overwriting the old one.

Just tryed all it did was make it so that i cant alt-tab out of it anymore.

This is how mine is set up

Z is the fake drive

Z:\buldozer.exe -dx -window (or however that last part goes)

Z:\visitor\visitor2\visitor.exe

Then in system preferences it goes in this order

Z:\visitor\visitor2

Z:\

Z:\

Z:\

Z:\

Z:\

Then the files are in Z:\data3d, Z:\data, Z:\O

Anyone see anythign wrong?

You have to point directly to your texture folder in the system prefrences window. Or if that dosen't work go to tools- project prefrences and type it in there.

So setup for me is

Basic Folder

C:\visitor

Texture Folder

D:\O

Nature Objects

D:\

Artificial Objects

D:\

Forest Roads

D:\

World Files

D:\ Lidovia

Maybe thats why Res texs dont work for you, they work fine for me. Is your texture option set to O folder? Mine are and it works.

Hope that helps! smile_o.gif

well... none of those works.

This is how i have it set up:

System Preferences:

basic folder: E:\o2_viewer\Visitor2

textures: E:\o2_viewer\River bed\HAM_Riverbed (my current project)

nature objects: E:\o2_viewer\o (where all the res objects r)

artificial objects: E:\o2_viewer\o (where all the res objects r)

forests and roads: E:\o2_viewer\o (where all the res objects r)

world files: E:\o2_viewer\River bed\HAM_Riverbed

and then for the project preferences

folder textures: E:\o2_viewer\River bed\HAM_Riverbed

Set it up like this

go to the buldozer folder which has to be on a root drive.

and make it like this

directory where O2 is

C:\

C:\

C:\

C:\

C:\

C:\

Then in project preferences C:\o

Well, that is one odd setup! I don't think I can help any further if what I suggested doesn't work, But I don't think you have the prefrences set right at all. Try reading Kegety's tutorial, thats what I got started on and it explains how to set things up.

Good luck!

You want it to look like this

Visitor Directory

E:\

E:\

E:\

E:\

E:\

E:\

DO E:\ for all but the top one and that should be your Visitor Directory

ANd buldozer.exe should be located at E:\ then the Data, Data3d and O folders should be at E:\Data etc.

hi all,

I placed a TN texture onthe whole island. it works fine in-game and in buldozer. (pain in he arse navigating this thing) unless im missing something.

Now i made a runway texture, and its white in-game. i dont know if its white in the viewr cause i cant navigate to the damn thing! navigationis realy driving me crazy.

Now i wanted to add trees. yesterday it gave me errors about MLOD when i had my objects path as data3d. But today i changed it to my folder and copied all the files i need to my folder. and it didn;t give that error. but i cant see them in the view or in-game.

Did i miss something? i dont know why its not working.

Oh i tried to add roads, when i wanted to add road pieces as straight road, "cuved road" inthe road setup, it gives me this error:

Object doesn;t follow requirments for road object.(Are ther all named points present?)

please help..

cheers

I dont think I can help with your texture problem, but the mlod problem I can, Does it say: Warning:PreNlod model on Data3d\obloha.p3d? If thats it, dePbo it with Unpbo by Amalfi as some Pbo decryptors such as PboTool don't uncompress them correctly.

Also, there are defined road parts, Lets say you are using the Cesta road which is the dirt road , there are defined parts such as Cesta10 75, that means you have a curved dirt road that is 75 meters long. All the ones who say 10 after the road name are curves, I suggest reading the tutorial you can download off the Breathe ® site. smile_o.gif

Good luck!

Is it maybe because you have some spaces in your folder set up there? It is possible that the tools you're trying to use can't handle the spaces. Try 'River_Bed' instead... I know many other OFP tools don't function properly when you've got spaces in file or folder names...
