Tie fighter pack

the reason y it only moves up a bit is because soon these babies will be in a ahanger and will fly out..

all the bug that are mentioned will be fixed ready for the next realese

and we will give the AI some Aircombat lessons

You could just use some parts of the cpp of the old Su-25/Harrier. The Harrier was simulated by making the plane a helicopter that could rise and fall by pressing q and z, whilst if u tipped it forward it achieved ok speeds.

This seems to be the best solution for the tie fighter.

While fighting against some A10 you can find out that your tie goes slower and slower.

we have though about giving it helicopter propertise.. but we found it dosent look right.... in the next release we will sort out the details and give ema little bows biggrin_o.gif..

the Cpp file will be altered but will stay the same

Yep I just want to echo what everyone else has said biggrin_o.gif Definately slow em down cos I dont know about many other people, but I find it hard to fly close to the ground at 1500-2000 kph (especially when the frame rate slows) and so you have to climb a bit higher, which results in the good old flashpoint factor of a tiny viewdistance sad_o.gif And I dont think even a wookie could withstand the G-forces created in the acceleration from 0-2000 crazy_o.gif I know this is only an early beta though, so thanks for releasing it anyway- it shows real promise- the cockpits look great, as do the whole models biggrin_o.gif Oh- and do the engines sound a little quiet to anyone else?

I like what you guys have done. For a beta it is pretty good.

I tried to take on a group of t80s and some troops over Petrovice, whenever I slowed down to aim a few shots the auto land kicked in and i ended up landing right between a load of angry T80s. crazy_o.gif

I dont need to tell you what happened next.....lets just say the rebellion had one less tie fighter to worry about. biggrin_o.gif

Who said anything was wrong with our glorious Imperial military's TIE Fighter Force?

Don't be talking about our valiant Imperial military, especially near near Darth Vader or half of you will die of Force Grip because you failed to put faith in the Imperial engineers and assembly.   Not to mention make Emperor Palaptine very angry.  crazy_o.gif

I enjoy what you are doing on OFP, but I don't plan on downloading it YET until most of the bugs are fixed with it.  Seriously though, it looks excellent and I hope to see hoards of Stormtrooper related missions very soon.

I think you would be almost worshiped if you could make this OFP mod alot like Jedi Knight 2, Jedi Outcast.  That game is one of THE best Star Wars games I have played.  You start out doing your regular Stormtrooper killing spree with no force powers, then you slowly have to figure out some puzzels and objectives but when the action starts to heat up, you break out that lightsaber and use the force to give the daily life of a Stormtrooper a total frightning hell.
