USSoldier11B 0 Posted June 9, 2003 Read On: Hillary's Memoirs Yes, it is a sad day in American history when people actually line up in the middle of the night to buy a book written by perhaps one of the nations most blantant political actresses. Clearly Barbera Walters did not know that she hadn't left her post at the annual Tony awards when she proceeded to interview our beloved ex-first lady. A woman whose husband whose repeated sexual escapades she covers up with an elaborate conspiracy theory allegedly comitted by the religious right wing of the Republican party. In her amiable, composed and well mannered interview with Walters, we almost forget that a few weeks ago we saw her on a stage in New England, red eyed and screeching, baring for the first time ever her proverbial political "ass" in which we finally got to see the true irrational Democrat we always knew was lurking inside of her. As the first week of her book release campaign begins, we gear up to watch as her billionare Senate friends head to Amazon.com to buy 10,000 copies a whack, so that she can pretend to have a New York Times Best Seller. If it wasn't for Bill O'Reilly, I don't know what I'd do.
Guest Posted June 9, 2003 I always liked Hillary. She is the closes to something "normal" in US politics on that level. I think I'll buy a copy
Die Alive 0 Posted June 9, 2003 The best part was when in the middle of the night, Bill told her "the" truth, and she started to cry. (That all depends on what your definition of "the" is) -=Die Alive=-
USSoldier11B 0 Posted June 9, 2003 Now now Denoir, I know you are just trying to upset me. No one who puts on camo grease paint and slogs through the mud with a gun could possibly think that woman is normal.
FallenPaladin 0 Posted June 9, 2003 I`d say if you compare her to what lurks around in the White House right now, she`s as normal as the people living/working in there.

USSoldier11B 0 Posted June 9, 2003 If they find me slumped in front of my computer dead, I will make sure that they know it was your fault. That picture of Hillary must be from 1970, because she doesn't look like that anymore. Needs more wrinkles and red eyes.
Die Alive 0 Posted June 9, 2003 ROFL, A&E to make Bio-pic of Hillary Sharon Stone's name comes up for the part of Hillary. I think this role fits her perfectly. Just think of all the numerous "leg-crossing" scene opportunities. No Skirts in the Oval office in 2008 The Oval Office... isn't that a strip club in Washington DC? -=Die Alive=-
Guest Posted June 9, 2003 I don't care much about Hillary as a person. She lost my respect when she didn't leave Bill Clinton after the Lewinsky incident. Obviously she decided that the political benifits would be greater if she stayed with him. As a politician, I think she's one of the best there is in US politics and that USA would greatly benifit to have her as president.
USSoldier11B 0 Posted June 9, 2003 Quote[/b] ]The Oval Office... isn't that a strip club in Washington DC? Bwhahahahaha!! If Hillary gets elected in 2008 I'm moving to Israel and marrying Avon. Quote[/b] ]As a politician, I think she's one of the best there is in US politics and that USA would greatly benifit to have her as president. Are we talking about the same person? Yes, Hillary is a stupendous ACTRESS. She smiled through the Lewinsky scandal and smiles at her so called pioneering bi-partisian Senate efforts. But, these are precisely what they look like very good acting. The fact remains that if a woman is to be elected to the White House in this era, she will have to be conservative, because U.S. voters who are men greatly outnumber women. Hillary could not capture the moderate to conservative Democrat male swing vote. Hillary is far to extremist to be an American president. Just as Pat Buchanan is too Republican. Bill Clinton is very much more ecomonimcally center than Hillary.

miles teg 1 Posted June 9, 2003 Personally I always liked Bill and Hilary Clinton....and I'm a yank and ex-military.... and yeah I watch the BBC and the Spanish language news networks... much better then the watered down, ultra-biased crap they show on the main networks here in the U.S.. If Hillary ran in the next election I'd vote for her in a heartbeat.... but then again I'll vote for anyone opposing "W" Bush who I think is a complete moron by trying to turn America into a 3rd world nation, attacking our constitution (which our military is sworn to defend above even the President), giving tax cuts (going mainly to the rich and corporations) in the middle of a huge deficit, making America hated more then ever around the world, spending billions of dollars on war based on lies and misinformation, spending billions more on Iraq even though large segments of the Iraqi population hate us and those billions are used to pay for services that we don't even have in this country (like for an Iraqi national health care system). Â All to secure oil interests for Bush's buddies in the oil industry. The level of corruption in this administration I think is sickening and I think far far more serious then some stupid sex sandal. Â I really didn't care who Clinton boinked... all I cared about was that overall he did a good job with foreign policy, and he kept this economy very strong and healthy. Â I believe Bush has disgraced the office of President far more then Clinton ever did. The only thing I like about Bush's policies is the "roadmap for peace" for Israel and the Palistinians. Â I really do hope he succeeds in that matter. Â Chris G. aka-Miles Teg<GD>

-TU--33ker 0 Posted June 9, 2003 I think the Lewinsky affair made Clinton and his wife even more likable in my eyes. It showed that he's an average guy who makes mistakes like everyone of us. and it was a private affair, it had nothing to do with governement affairs. Hillary showed that she could stand the embarrassment. and she's still big in the game of politics unlike Billy Boy. I don't think I'll read this book. I'm not very interrested in other people's privacy.
cam0flage 0 Posted June 9, 2003 $33ker @ June 09 2003,18:14)]ROFL I feel something like this or this coming up from avon. Damn, very nasty pictures you got there. Bush, Bush jr., Clintons ... it seems the same people are running the U.S. politics year after year :P Maybe they should set up a royal family or something. ralphwiggum 6 Posted June 9, 2003 I didn't get to see Barbara Walter's interview of Hillary, but i think she would make a great president. of course, we will have Bill fooling around as the First gentleman(loosely speaking), and that is a plus. the whole Lewinsky deal made Clintons look more like human IMO. While republicans were preaching family value while breaking it from behind, they were attacking Bill for doing something they would have done too. Hillary certainly is a smart person. If she broke up with Bill during the scandal, would that be called a good move? hardly. then, Clinton's opponents would have called this the major victory of family values. divorce is the family value? a good family value person would not discuss someone elses's privacy in public manner like it was with the scandal. The whole damn thing started when Paula Jones needed to "prove" Bill's habitual problem when she could not prove that he assualted her directly. not to mention IC Ken Starr questioning Lewinsky without a lawyer. Quote[/b] ]The fact remains that if a woman is to be elected to the White House in this era, she will have to be conservative, because U.S. voters who are men greatly outnumber women. Hillary could not capture the moderate to conservative Democrat male swing vote. Hillary is far to extremist to be an American president. Just as Pat Buchanan is too Republican. that's the flaw. a conservative family value would be something like, man works and earns money to support family, woman take care of home - like current Bush. so if Hillary is conservative, then she shouldn't run for president. so she has to be more liberal. currently, populationwise, there are more women then men. so in about 20 years, women might have more votes numberwise. Hillary could captre the moderate and conservative male swing vote. coupled with Bill's image, she has a good chance to get nomination from Democratic party. back in early phase of first Clinton term, Hillary pushed the idea of national healthcare. which was labled wasteful [idea] and intrusive. and at 2002 State of the union address, my eyes rolled when Bush talked about national healthcare system and Republicans cheered it. even republicans love hillary's idea, just have hard time to swallow that they do. and at least she raised her kid to be a productive member of society.
