CuteQA 0 Posted May 10, 2003 I just finished them, and i think you guys must see "The Second Renaissance Part1&2." It makes me to think it is terrible if the same thing happen in the real world, is AI really going to against human?
Sith 0 Posted May 10, 2003 So far I've been quite disappointed by the Animatrix episodes to be honest. Although The Second Renaissance I & II have some nice historical references, they lack the Matrix "feel", if you know what I mean. Chapter 3 (Detective Story) comes IMO the closest to the style of the movies (visual and story wise), with its references to Alice in Wonderland and the main character getting 'lost' in the new reality he finds himself in. I really hope future episodes will be more like this.
ale2999 0 Posted May 10, 2003 I have seen the final dvd . I am not gonna give any spoiler but indeed the 2nd Renaissance Part1&2 was the most interesting part as it gives historical references. Some of them r kinda confusing and my guess is that I have to see the movie to understand them. A kid's story is very good too, now that I recall. I think that the movie is gonna give a greater understanding of the anime
sanctuary 19 Posted May 10, 2003 I have to agree with you, if you are looking for the "matrix feel" , between the 4 animatrix , the Detective animated movie is the best choice. I was not disapointed by what i saw, as it is very high quality of animation , with some of the most talented animation team. But , if you are looking for the matrix feel , Last Flight of the Osiris (the production from the Final Fantasy : Spirit Within movie team) is the closest as you can hope And , probably you heard that : the plot of this Last Flight of the Osiris animatrix have connections with the matrix videogame , that itself have connections with the movie , as the matrix producers wanted and stated All that can disapoint me is the length of each animatrix , with so much work on the design , the animation and the color i wish it had a more long duration. Unfair is that world where we cannot have all we want Now , /me is waiting for the DVD release I was not fan at all of the matrix movie (bad luck i saw my favorite movie "Dark City" the same day as i saw matrix, that is why matrix was tasteless for me) , but after seeing some animatrix, i will certainly go see the matrix

I might have ruined the movie for myself, but when they print a warning like: "DO NOT READ PAST THIS PAGE IF YOU HAVE NO DESIRE TO SEE THE GLORY THAT IS RELOADED", it naturally piques my interest. I think that the 2nd reneissance is to show us how much of an hard job the humans will have to do to free themselves: free themselves from the matrix is the easier task but what about when they r in the real world? if Humanity wasnt able to annihalate the machine when they had the actual power to do so, how could they defeat the machines now that they r the underdog? what chances of survivelability (dont know if that is a word, too lazy to check at dictionary.com lol) do they have? I think we are in for a bitter end of the Matrix Revolution (the last matrix movie).....
