Africa! Asia! Europe!

We're gonna have memory map errors even before installing user made addons! wow.gif

But seriously folks......................

OK, Europe, we have that. Will be nice if we'll have more.

Africa! That's a lot of potential! Is this going to cover Mogadishu? Is this to compete with Novalogic's BHD?

The game’s mission-based campaigns will take gamers through fictional conflicts based upon authentic events during the years around 1970.<span id='postcolor'>

My speculation would be, that they drag 'Nam to one of the neighboring countries (like Apocalypse Now), Europe is pretty obvious Prague, but what is in Africa? Rumble in the Jungle??? tounge.gif

Africa, nice. I want a 'Save Hammarskjoeld' mission. No wait, that was in the sixties right? Anyway, Africa in the seventies should give more than enough options  smile.gif

What is it with BIS and going back into time smile.gif first they make Resistance which plays before Cold War and now they make Flashpoint 2 which plays in the 70's instead of the 80's smile.gif

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Marek Spanel, the Project Leader for Operation Flashpoint 2 at Bohemia Interactive Studio says:

“We want to create a game set in realistic theatres but not tied to any single historical event. The theatres selected for Operation Flashpoint 2 will provide for a great variety of combat environments and draw players into a thoroughly believable experience where every element of tactical combat is important.â€

It’s also revealed that an important part of the main campaign will focus on events from the Vietnam war in late 60s, when US forces in South Vietnam numbered over half a million. Missions will see players engaging in solo action, commanding a squad, driving military vehicles, or taking to the air in authentic 'copters and planes. Weapons and military and civilian mobile units are being accurately modelled from period military data.
