Do a search on Ebay for "saddam" or "iraq". Looks like all the banknotes from Mosul's Cental Bank have made it there already.

Nah, no need. I heard mr Powell on TV saying that the US would help with retrieving the things that were stolen and repair that which was broken.

Late at night, in an isolated ranch in Texas. Gathered around the table, Mr Powell, Mr Bush and Mr Ashcroft. The room filled with chards and broken artifacts, 10000 years old.

*Glue, glue, glue*

- Aint ya guys glad we're helpin these here Iraqis fixin their cracked ol' pottery? says Bush.

- Yes, sir. I dont understand what the fuzz is about. See, I have all ready finished putting this here....eh....hmm...F16 clay model back together...., Powell responds with a hint of hesitation.

- Yeah, these guys will never know the difference!, Ashcroft quickly adds.

I doubt many acheologists and anthropologists would appreciate that.

If you want to get really conpiratorial, it's possible the U.S. LET the museum be looted, and sectrretly used Spec Ops to gether up all the artefacts ot make a fortunae on them.

Between that and the oil grab, and it could be theoried U.S. is making a killing in Iraq. Pardon the atrocious pun. smile.gif

10 dead, possibly 100 wounded as American soldiers opened fire on a crowd demonstrating against a leader appointed by the us.

http://www.expressen.se/expressen/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=442&a=27842

http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/nyheter/story/0,2789,293247,00.html

Info is sketchy right now.

"Folkmassan blev alltmer fientlig mot den nye styresmannen i staden, Mashaan al-Juburi, när han höll ett USA-vänligt anförande, uppgav tre vittnen för AFP.

Dĺ började soldaterna skjuta in i folkmassan."

The crowd grew increasingly hostile towards the newly appointed city leader, Mashaan al-Juburi, when he was holding a pro-US speach, three witnesses told AFP. Then the soldiers started shooting into the crowd.

hmm...you suppose this is what SAddam's cache of US uniforms and M16's was for? I kind of doubt that US troops would perfrom a Mi lAi part two.

Dosen't seem to have hit the English news sites yet, or even Pravda, but this dosen't say much of the credibility of the US appointed government there, or the ability of the US troops to maintain the peace.

Yes, I'm sure that Fedayeen dressed up as US troops were escorting the US appointed government confused.gif.

Yes, and noone would notice them shouting orders in Arabic, or the fact that they were indeed Iraqis. Especially not their countrymen or the journalists who have spent years in the region. Good theory!

Ah, Comical Ali. It ain't politically correct to say so, but you were a real character. biggrin.gif

Anyone else heard the rumour that he was found with a bullet through his head and a gun in his hand? It was just on radio news here. I guess that indifference to the obvious was all a facade. Seems kind of strange to imagine him smiling and amusing the journalists, then going home and shooting himself. Almost a reflection on the superficial gloss that most Western medias put on the gritty horror of the war. sad.gif

Details are sketchy about that shooting. Could of been Iraqis in US uniforms, it's not like they don't have any, or that they're hard to find. But I don't know for sure.

The thing that gets me is that there are some reports of riots against Saddam and the US. It's one or the other people, without the US there would still be Saddam. You can't complain about debt and then complain about winning the lottery.

And that song is hilarious.

You really don`t unterstand why they are rioting against the US, too? Don`t take it too personal, but sometimes I think you really are George W. Bush. wink.gif

I`ll get some sleep now. smile.gif

You should have paid more attention to what people were posting here. They didn't like Saddam but they sure as hell don't like the US. To the Shias (that make up 60-70% of the Iraqi population) USA is officially known as "The Great Satan". They like the USA just as much as their religious leaders in Iran do.

Have you learned nothing from the arguments you've had with me about the US's history with Cuba except for your continued knee-jerk reactions defending the US and whoever may be their ally? I've said it myself many times. I strongly oppose Castro's government in Cuba, but I strongly oppose the US going in to remove him. Why? Because they put Batista in power in the first place, and there's nothing to convince me they won't just put someone like him in power again. Saddam was once upon a time also a US puppet dictator, so it's no surprize these people don't see a great difference between Saddam's repression and US occupation.

Some lottery, they won the right to be gunned down for protesting against the US's appointed "temporary" dictator as opposed to be gunned down for protesting against Saddam.

They caught a terrorist.

And some people think the war on terrorism is on the back burner. crazy.gif

Tovarish, I;m sure all of the Cuban dissidents rotting away in Castro's jails appreciate your opinion. I'm sure the Cubans risking their lives to get to the US are in full agreement with you too.

FallenPalladin, sometimes I really think you are SAddam Hussein..or one of his body doubles biggrin.gif

I have a question for all of you stating that Iraq is poland and that Syria is one of the Low COuntries. If the US invaded Iraq for the oil, what are they doing in Syria?
