FallenPaladin 0 Posted March 19, 2003 http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/03/19/sprj.irq.family.ap/index.html Isn`t that sweet? Set this article back in the 40s. Give them german names and let them fight on the western or eastern fronts. And voilŕ the result is propaganda at it`s best. It`s pretty obvious that the US government and press has not learned from past mistakes of other nations. Next step would be drilling kids in school in green uniform... llauma 0 Posted March 19, 2003 USA is a military nation where nothing is more honorable than to fight for your country... I hope that attitude will change but it will take along time.
FallenPaladin 0 Posted March 19, 2003 Well, give them 60 years and maybe they`ll achieve our european insights. If they don`t blow us up before
Balschoiw 0 Posted March 19, 2003 Well she seems to be the lucky one : </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Asthma kept the fourth Strickland sibling, Elaine, from joining the service. A nurse in Boulder, she opposes war but still sees her siblings as heroes. "I'm afraid for my family because they're over there. I pray everyday that they'll be safe. Hopefully they won't have to go in there with force," she said. <span id='postcolor'> I wonder how long it will take till parents are rewarded for raising their kids military style. Guest Posted March 19, 2003 Hahahaha.....I bet all those years of early morning laps will pay off when one of their own tanks accidently kills them (sorry..."friendly fire"). Maybe if they survive they'll suffer Gulf War II Syndrome and shoot their parents? As Homer Simpson once said "It's funny 'cos I don't know 'im". FallenPaladin 0 Posted March 19, 2003 The USA is happily giving us new reasons every day, wait, any hour! Another news I just read was that the phones of EU members in Brussels have been wiretapped. Take a guess who did that...
Tex -USMC- 0 Posted March 19, 2003 I'm sorry, but when did excellence in your chosen profession become tantamount to fascism? Besides, if you bothered to read the article before turning on your anti-American blinders, you'd know that they aren't exactly kids; the lowest ranking sibling is a Captain in the Army's JAG. The other one is a battalion commander in the aviation wing of the 101st ABD.

Tovarish 0 Posted March 19, 2003 I have to agree that this is a pretty asinine argument. It's not like we're talking about 16 year olds.
FallenPaladin 0 Posted March 19, 2003 It`s not about how old they are. It`s just the way this article is written and at which time it appears. It`s indeed like the "Hurra, we go to war!!"-articles the german press wrote when WW2 had started. "Brave family sacrificing it`s family live to the battle for the fatherland... more BS... more BS..."

FallenPaladin 0 Posted March 19, 2003 Right now I`d say almost the whole world is very unfriendly when the thoughts come to the US government`s behaviour. It`s the TBA`s own fault.

FallenPaladin 0 Posted March 19, 2003 I have no problem with US citizens as repeatedly said before, but I`d shoot the current US goverment up to the moon if I could. The world would be way safer then. The problem with most of the US representants here in the forums is that they take any criticism pointed to the US government personally. And they devour the US propaganda blindly. How can it be that the point of view of the USA and a very few US followers (from which many are bought with dollars... Â ) can be the only right one? That alone would give me a lot to think if I was US american. How can almost the whole world be wrong and only we right?
Winters 1 Posted March 19, 2003 Would that be US Citizens that are bothering other countries or would that be the Government and the Military? There is a difference.
