Jester983 0 Posted February 23, 2003 Okay heres a little something ive tried which was very fun and interesting with OFP. I have a cb radio and so does my friend who lives less than a mile from me. We played the BAS rangers/delta missions just using the radios and not typing at all. so here is the challenge. I want you guys to gather up some of your friends and play OFP with cb radios if you have them... I dont think many will but if you do try it. No typing... and see how well it goes. Course your friends have to live kinda close together but im sure someone will be able to try this. I actually preferred using my radio myself instead of typing. Less time and we could tell each other of danger faster than typing.... I dunno its just an idea. any kind of radio that is a transceiver will work. Give it a shot and tell me what you think. I have hardly used it but thats just my idea. lets not turn this into a debate about RW though... If your friends are out of radio range organize a LAN party at one house and another at another house then use the radios. I know this is kinda silly idea but its just another way to play ofp. To make it feel more real you could also take you computer to a nearby forest or desert depending on what island you play. How do you simulate being wounded? It might be because the in-game voice is build around directplay, but still it is very sad, that they didn't come up with an alternative by now. GameVoice and other programms are quiet nice, but I always loved the channel mode, which let you talk with vehicle crew, group, side, etc.. Especially the direct speech option was amazing. Winters 1 Posted February 26, 2003 I did that with some friends who live in my building while playing WW2 Online. It was a blast driving a truck and using a hand held walkie-talkie to talk with. We was heading into a town and they where all arguing about which way to go and finally i said "We are going in Flatbush style" and then proceeded to drive straight through the town while we watched everyone run out of the way. It was so funny i said "You think we can do that again" and went back. After that everyone jumped out and i kept driving around like a maniac while my mates capped the town.
