If we dont get 7 players we might have to take a look at 14.2 of the rules.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">14.2 ALTERNATIVE RULES FOR SIX TO TWO PLAYERS.

Six Players. Eliminate Italy. Italian units hold in position and defend themselves, but do not support each other. They may be supported by units belonging to any of the players, as with any other units ordered to hold. If they are forced to retreat, they are disbanded.

Five Players. Eliminate Italy and Germany as described for Italy above. The first year may be thought of as 1801 and in the six player game as 1870.

Four Players. One player plays England, and the other three play the following pairs: Austria/France, Germany/Turkey, Italy/Russia.

Three Players. Two alternatives:

1. 1. One player plays Russia and the other two play the following triples: England/France/Germany and Austria/Italy/Turkey;

2. 2. One person takes England/Germany/Austria, the second, Russia/Italy, and the third France/Turkey.

Two Players. (World War I). One player plays England/France/Russia and the other plays Austria/Germany/Turkey. Italy is neutral and Italian territory may not be entered. The game begins in 1914. Before the Fall 1914 adjustments, a coin is flipped. Italy joins the winner of the toss in Spring 1915. The victory criterion is 24 units actually on the board. This is a good game for getting to know the rules.

Note that in games for four, three, and two players, supply center ownership is computed for each individual country, even though two or more may be played by the same person. As under the regular rules, adjustments must be made by each country in accordance with its supply center holdings.<span id='postcolor'>

Hopefully we can get 2 more players though.

I haven't heard from Assualt(CAN) so I assume we are playing 6 person rules, making me Turkey.

Any objections?

We should also set specific times and periods for diplomacy periods. After all, unless we have some diplomacy, whats the point?

True....

How should we handle it, being that we are all in various time zones (except me, Tex, and Hit_Squad who are all CST tounge.gif)

Well, I'd say 2-3 days per turn for diplomacy emailings.  Then 24 hours for Bals to receive the emails and process the turns.

Also, why dont we give Assault 12 more hours.  I'd much rather see a full roster, rather than the 6 player alternative.

So how I see it:

18 : 00 GMT 28/02/03: Start of first Diplomacy Session.

18 : 00 GMT 03/03/03: End of First Diplomacy.

24 : 00 GMT 03/03/03: Deadline for moves into Bals.

18 : 00 GMT 04/03/03: Deadline for Bals to process moves and email update.

And so on and so on.

edit: Bloody hell, I wish : 0 didnt come out as wow.gif

That seems fair.

3 days for diplomacy. Moves due at the end of the third day. Everyone set a clock to GMT biggrin.gif

Also I just need to know what country I'm gonna be...hard to do diplomacy with no country sad.gif

I could likely do that.

Or we could all update them seperately.

What do you think, Akira?

Bal's will have a "master map"....I say once a year you can request a copy. Other than that you have to keep track on your map and based on Bal's movement reports.

Are we going to have a text file something like this, or do we have to keep our own? This was at the end of the manual, a little sample game or something.
