ESC key unrecognized in game works fine outside of game

My esc key just doesnt work i try to open pause menu doesnt work so i rebinded pause menu but it can only open the menu it wont close the menu been looking everywhere for a fix no one seems to know how. Please if anyone knows a fix i woulkd really appreciate it thanks!

Go to your folder C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\<username> and open your <username>.Arma3Profile

Esc key shortcut for game menu should be this:

KeyIngamePause[]={1};

Thats Not even showing up in there at all can i just repaste it in a random location?  I dont even see any keys to change?

Have you searched for keyIngamePause[]={1}; or just keyIngamePause? If it's the prior then naturally nothing will show since it's not defined.

Theoretically but best to paste the line among other keyX lines. Mine is below keyAimHeadRight[]={}; and above keyMenuSelect[]={};
