Adding defunct scope to a player's rifle

Tried this:
 

this addPrimaryWeaponItem optic_Aco_broken;

Typed in init of the unit in the editor, didn't work. Rifle is clear and supports ACO C-More railway type of optic, using RHS's Mk17 mod 0.
Didn't work, please help.

Even tried exporting the loadoout, and editing it to add the defunct optic, still didn't work.

You need to load the Contact DLC.

Just in case you might not know: to access the broken scopes you need to load "Contact-Contact" aka "the mod that enables First Contact campaign". It's in the DLC tab of the launcher, along with other optional DLCs like Prairie Fire or GlobMob.

 

The "Contact" that is loaded by default (aka "Contact-Enoch") has Livonia map and the LDF and SpetsNaz factions, but the "cool" stuff is either not there, or lacks configs to have it work. Broken scopes might be in the second group, but I'm not sure.

That's probably it. Is there any compat mod? I can't find any on the workshop

In the init of the soldier, which i want to have the scope on his rifle.

If you own Contact, CBA allows access to those broken attachments without having to load the DLC.

The CBA_A3 mod? it is loaded, unless you are talking about some other abbreviation. And i do own contact DLC. Well, it was gifted by a friend, maybe that breaks stuff?

Well WTF. I just went back and tested all iterations again, I now I can't spawn it with just CBA. So I guess, like @krzychuzokecia said, you must load the DLC.

Well shit. Case closed then, unless somebody makes the mod to port the defunct items to a compat data or maybe a standalone mod.
