Anonymous Anti Hacker 0 Posted April 24, 2022 Greetings. I have been playing on official B.I.S. servers having Warlords missions for some time. I find this type of missions very interesting among all the missions with standard vanilla Arma 3 vehicles and other assets. I don't know whether it is normal for them now or is it just a temporary problem, but I have noticed a lot of negative behaviour in the game on these servers. I have several proposals on how BIS could make the situation better without losing players who's number is not increasing at the moment. First of all let me write here about what I have seen and what I don't like. Players killing friendly AI units deliberately, i.e. on purpose; Players killing team members on purpose; Players destroying friendly vehicles on purpose; Players destroying team assets on purpose, such as radars, defenders or RHEAs, etc.; Players using several Steam accounts for spying positions and using other kinds of cheating. Second, the subject. The Proposals. Team killing of players and AI units must be more visualized. When someone killed all of my AI units, it was not even shown who was that god damn cheater. It would be great to write such messages in a red or orange colour. The destruction of friendly assets should also be visualized. Team killing limits should be more strict -- kick after first TK in the mission, mission ban after second TK in the mission, server ban after several mission bans, permanent ban on all the official servers by Steam ID after several server bans. To enable the previous statement, B.I.S. could use an external database just like they use it in the KotH missions, which would store cheaters for all the official servers, so that cheaters could be banned permanently and would have to create a new Steam account and buy a new game. By the way, some of the community made missions, such as Invade & Annex series missions, have a built-in player reporting tool, which is activated after each TK. Please do remember that cheaters not only spoil the gameplay, they make people leave servers for very long time, days, months, years or even forever. I think that B.I.S. is not interested in such situatuions and will do something positive. Thank you.
Jackal326 1181 Posted April 24, 2022 What you are describing isn't technically cheating, its just being a dick. Well, its griefing and being a dick. Kicking for one TK is a little overkill. If a transport pilot accidentally crashes his helicopter with a squad on board he's banned for life? That a little overkill as well... I agree more could be done to combat griefing and general dickery, just not sure the one-tk and you're kicked is the way forward as accidents do happen... Gunter Severloh 4052 Posted April 25, 2022 If it was cheating then BE would boot and possibly ban them. Why i play in the editor and build shit, or coop with friends, i dont need to deal with retarded people and little hacker punks who need to be punched in real life. Coop with friends, a unit, group, squad, or what have you can solve your problem, rent a server, or setup a dedicated put the mission on there get some friends and people that like the same thing, pw the server problem solved. 19 hours ago, Anonymous Anti Hacker said: By the way, some of the community made missions, such as Invade & Annex series missions, have a built-in player reporting tool, Sounds like a good solution, but then does it work? Are their less cheaters if any because of it, was and or is there evidence, or known cheaters or "irregular" players splashing others in the pool that you know of before that are now not there any longer?
Micky Nub 6 Posted May 8, 2022 These days most games need anti-griefing software. Maybe force an IQ test during game purchases.
