How apply bandage etc?

I cannot apply bandages or splints, etc.  What is the secret?

Standard game play.

Nothing shows in the menus to apply bandages, etc.

You need to have a first aid kit in your inventory (the yellow thing) and when you're injured you'll get the heal action in your scrollwheel menu.

I don't get the action on the menu. Should the kit be dropped on the ground first?

Are you using ACE? Vanilla Arma has neither bandages nor splints, just the Medkit and FAK.

 

ACE uses a proprietary action/interaction system.

I'm not using Ace.  I cannot use a bandage in the inventory so it gets dropped to the ground. All I can do then is pick it up.

 

Whoops I am wrong I do have ace mod loaded which points to ace3.

I am playing the Bunker mod and it's nice, but I keep dying trying to get out of the bunker.

Hold Left Ctrl+Windows keys to open the self interaction menu.

 

Then follow through the medical menus on your body.

Well I am getting nowhere fast. The Ctl+Win keys do not show anything.

I have mods labeled 'ace' and 'Advanced Combat Environment' loaded.

I have 'ace3_3.14.1' in Arma 3 folder as '@ace', and 'acex_3.5.4' as '@acex'.

 

I assume I am missing something to do with ace.

ACEX was merged into ACE3 v3.14.0! Remove it if you still have it installed.

Got it working with just 'ace' and 'cba_a3'!

 

When the menu appears do ya just mouse wheel click?

The menu shows a red circle arount selected item but cannot activate it.

 

I ever had 'ace3_3.14.0'.

 

I think that I am okay now!
