-TW-Fox 0 Posted February 1, 2003 I've been playing Co-op with a few friends for 2 weeks or so now, and it's absolutely stunning. I've got a few questions though... a) Is there such thing as as spectator mode? It's quite annoying when you join our server only to have to stare at that laptop screen not knowing whats going on until the game finishes b) I have a 56k modem, which is at best unreliable. We had been playing for 150 minuites this evening on one mission - having a great time. Then my connection dropped - I rejoined but was of course presented with just the laptop screen. My character was converted to AI. Is there no way that I could have rejoined as who I was before? If not, is this something BIS could consider for a future patch? If BIS do introduce in the next flashpoint style game i hope it can be disabled, please dont let this turn in to another unwanted JIP discussion though Feel Free to try coop on our server is your close to UK, and try to get rid of that 56K and you'll enjoy it a lot more. OFP does not support join in progress, and never will. (Well, until OFP2 maybe).
-TW-Fox 0 Posted February 1, 2003 I don't mean I want join in progress ie pitch up whenever and just join in, it'd ruin co-op. I'd been playing the same mission for over 2 hours - being disconnected was frustrating. My character was converted to AI so could feasibly be converted back to human when I reconnected after being disconnected? As it was only 2 player, it ruined the entire mission and we had to restart. Rejoin not join
-TW-Fox 0 Posted February 1, 2003 I'd love to bin the 56k connection, but I'm to far from my ADSL enabled exchange, my local cable company doesnt serve my area, and I failed the line test for Home Highway

Under 3km, you can get ADSL, 3km to 5.5km, you can get RADSL, I am 6km away
