ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread

BI definitely need to do a Naval DLC pack. All the vanilla terrains are surrounded by water, kind of a waste not to utilise it. The upcoming Jets DLC hints that there may be an aircraft carrier in it. It would be a bit silly if all you have to defend it are assault boats, RHIB's & SDV's. Anytime an aircraft carrier or LHD goes to war they're never alone. LHD's have an expeditionary strike group & aircraft carriers have a carrier strike group as escorts as they themselves are rather lightly armed for self defense. It would benefit Arma 3 to have ships of frigate or corvette size & some submersibles larger than the SDV's for offshore fire support as well as an armed staging base for launching missions. The FFAA Mod's BAM illustrates this perfectly being able to launch SDV's, RHIB's & choppers as well as offshore fire support. It would completely round out Arma 3 if BI does do this sort of DLC. Time will tell if anything like this comes to fruition. Thanks.

I was watching Gantz with the kids and really want a simple HUNT or HUNTED mission game mode or mod framework:

 

  • MP/SP/COOP where a team of players spawn into a random quadrant of the map. Say 2 minimum up to X
  • Quadrant can be from of list of predefined areas to simulate different terrain types (cqb, jungle, water, etc...)
  • Server sets max players.
  • Timelimit of roughly 20 mins per round. Server selectable.
  • If you leave the quadrant before time is up or target is killed, you get killed ala Battle Royale game mode.
  • Stay in the quadrant to hunt down a designated target with whatever gear you have. Goal is to stay alive and use teamwork but if you are a total badazz, you can go on your own.
  • Kill the target, get 5 points. Progress into the next round
  • Target can be AI and should be a really powerful monster or alien (in Gantz Anime, it was all aliens). Can be more than 1 AI as levels progress such as Uncom or FAP mod aliens, a predator, a dino, whatever.
  • Between each round, players can choose to save points and spend it on gear or share points with friends. Sorta like counter strike.
  • Rounds becomes progressively harder with tougher AI monsters/enemies, more enemies or combo of both.
  • Game is over when all players are dead from a round or when a max number of rounds has been achieved/survived by at least 1 player.

 

Basically a mix of Hunter / Hunted with Evolve.

 

Hopefully, players can create their own versions on custom maps or with mods to add AI variety.

 

For folks who have watched Gantz, you know what I'm talking about.

If someone gets the correct permissions to port it then, i don't see why it couldn't be in Arma3.

I found i topic where the POOK was trying to port it into A3. But its not active at all... :(

So, with 141 Pages in one single Topic I don't expect anyone to see this but whatever.

 

I am not into the Arma 3 Scripting and Modding stuff and before I do that I'd like to know if it's even possible. But here are some questions that need an answer:

  • Can I run Java or C#-Scripts from Arma 3? The Logitech LED API works with that.
  • Is there an Event API in Arma 3 and how extensive is it? Can I run scripts when someone dies, enters a vehicle, shoots, has no ammo left, becomes a high command or whatever else?
  • Can I somehow read the files of where the Keys are saved? So in my Mod I can dynamically search for the Keys a certain Player has set. Even for some Mods.

If these questions are answered and someone is interested in making this addon I would love to help or if not, I'll do it myself.

Artillery flashes in the night sky that would simulate strikes being carried out just over the horizon with the low rumble of the explosion. Possibly with a variety of strikes from 80mm, 155mm and MLRS not to mention the dream of dreams White Phosphorus strikes.

Hey is it a thing to pay someone to build arma 3 mods for you? Should I make a seperate post. I was hoping to pay someone to build a lever action rfile mod, that could still be shared with community.

Or you can just run All in Arma with the arma 2 PBO like the guy did in the video and use it that way.

AIA can be found - Here

AIA is no longer supported and was released back in 2015. Its highly unlikely that it will work with 1.68

Hello World of Arma,

 

I had an cool idea for a weapons handling mod. Not sure if there is already mod for this, but check this out.

 

You know how in Arma 3 we have the advanced stance system. I was looking everywhere for a mod for weapons griping styles. For instance a mod that controls how you hold your weapon to enhance your shots for given situations. Like the C-clamp grip, changing to griping the weapon handle, or griping the heat shield, or switching to the magwell grip, etc.

 

It would be cool if there was a mod that could incorporate every single real world grip used today. Again not sure if this mod already exists but would be very cool if someone could devise a weapon griping system just like how we have advance stances.
