Mapframe properties

Hi all,

i created a map but i have issue when i launch bulldozer.

Maby i think it's mapframe but i don't have the config.

I would like to create a map with 8192x8192 size.

 

Can you help me?

 

Heightmap : 8192x9192

Mask : 4096x4096

Sat: 8192x8192

Normal map : 8192x8192

I would suggest you do not use that heightmap size. It’s is broken and unless you are a seasoned vet will only cause you issues and frustration.

Also use 40 x 40 for texture layer or as close as you can get it.

 

Try using 2048 grid and 4 cell size.

thank you for your answers, but that may affect the quality, right?do I have to modify my sat, heughmap on photoshop or directly in the mapframe properties?

It will change the terrain spacing to 4m instead of 1m.

1m has issues in arma, using 8k grid which is broke and buggy with 1m cell is just asking for trouble.

Okay thank for your reply but i have a problem.

On my layer management, i resize all layer on 2048x2048 and i changed mapframe properties.

And it's all crashed

Here’s my suggestion. Use the heightmap of 4096x4096 with 2 meter grid cells. That will give you the 8192x8192 size you are looking for. 
 

for the sat/surface mask you can stick with 8192x8192 size. 
 

then it should look at it used to.

But when i launch pboproject, he can't binarize because "Gash_Barka.wrp :validating..."Gash_Barka.pbo not produced due to error(s)" ."pbo can't read wrp"

Maybe it's sampler at 16x16, i try to generate layer with 32x32 parameter

Post the new map frame parameters you are using

Try setting the texture layer back to 40x40 or as close as you can get to it. 
 

if that doesn’t work post the actual error via screenshot

Careful with cell size of 2, it can eat a lot of fps once you start adding objects. I always think 4+ is the sweet spot
