Object attachTo hand in rigid way (like held weapon) possible?

Necromancing this unanswered question basically:

 

Is perhaps possible to attach an object to the hand in a rigid way, so it would "rotate with the bone", changing the pitch etc. like a weapon in hand? I mean, if a weapon does that, it should be possible somehow... A special memory point? I'm trying that with a weaponholder containing some weapon in order to fake, the weapon is held, so it would not vanish, when I run "unarmed" animation on the unit (as normally held weaponry do - it vanish during such animations), no luck so far, tried various memory points.
