Description

The Operation Frenchpoint project (OFrP) was created in 2002 by the pooling of the expertise of several passionate French modders, animated by the same desire: to develop the units, weapons, equipment and vehicles of the French Army on the ArmA series produced by Bohemia Interactive and to deliver them for free to the community.
For the moment, the mod includes regular infantry, weapons, several objects, and light vehicles (compatible with TFAR and ACRE) but it is an achievement for the team after several years of difficulties.
We gave all our skills/abilities/knowledge and our passion in order to let you play freely and with quality with french units and equipments on ArmA 3.
The mod is not devoid of flows, but we hope you will enjoy to play with it.

Hi everyone,


After 18 years of good and loyal service on all the games in the ArmA series, Studio OFrP: Operation FrenchPoint goes to sleep and closes its doors.
The small size of our workforce coupled with the personal contingencies of our members no longer allow us to continue the adventure.
The website will soon be closed but the Discord and the Forum will remain active for the old ones or for those who would like to restart the project.
So that everything is not abandoned, the Indochine mod will be published as is, that is to say unfinished and bug included.
As for the OFrP mod, and depending on the capacities, only the most advanced features will be published.
The license (EULA) that is joined with each of our mods obviously remains applicable despite the closure of OFrP Studio.

Sorry to hear about this. There are less and less people who have been around for as long as you have in the modding community.

In any case, if you ever want to restart the work and go the SAF way, you'll always have support under the RHS roof.

Really sorry to see this. Losing experienced community teams / members is always sad. I've always personally thought your Operation Frenchpoint group name was one of the best having started way back on Operation Flashpoint. Seeing it always made me chuckle.

As others said: it's a very sad news. OFrP was among my favorite "nation specific" mods in OFP, and also my favorite French mod in Arma 3. It's sad to see you go, but you've already made it into the history of OFP/ArmA modding! Merci beacoup!

Hi all,

 

It is with pleasure that we announce the release of the OFrP mod in version 2.0.0 (see first post for download links).

 

In accordance with our commitments, this update brings the MILAN F1 and F2 launchers, with and without MIRA, as well as different versions of the indestructible P4 in Center Europe, Desert, ONU and FORAD camouflage compatible with ACRE and TFAR.

Each vehicle is customizable at will, and the AANF1 of the PATSAS versions have unique features that we let you discover.

The mod has thinned down (optimized) by more than 1 GB, and promised, nothing has been removed.

 

As always, and given our very small number, the mod is not devoid of bugs, but we thank you in advance for your constructive feedback and the welcome you will give it.

 

This update is an important moment for the small OFrP team.

Indeed, we have decided to turn the page of ArmA 3, and to return to our origins, namely the Cold War. Note that the ACE pack will be the subject of a later update and that a Hotfix is already planned for the P4 PATSAS scripts (the AI may encounter problems).

Ha! I've seen Steam client downloading mod updates for Arma 3, and one of those was OFrP. A big one actually. I thought to myself haven't they decided to retire? Guess not yet, at least not for now!

 

Glad to see you back (even if for short while), and really happy to see Peugeot in Arma 3 (even if it looks suspiciously German :D )!
