I've gone ahead and redid the offroad textures from scratch and i have to say they're looking way better than before, complete with dirt imperfections.

Groups

Both BLUFOR and INDEP LDF will have access to the same groups, most of the groups are recreation of vanilla LDF Groups using the available assets, plus a few extra groups i made up that i felt was appropiate

Details

I'm looking at a potential release sometime very soon, i've tackled a bunch of the smaller tasks needed to make the mod playable, i might begin work on the LDF's van but that its looking very likely that might come a short while after release which is my current priority.

I'm going to be taking a short break from mod development to focus on my studies, but i might work on a desert varient of the Van in whatever free time, before i begin work on UAV's and UGV's

Thanks to a very reasonable request by ShadowR4nger, i've gone ahead and began work on Coyote variants of all the helmets, in addition i've fixed the inheritence of the t-shirt so you'll have visual feedback of blood on the uniform when shooting at a person wearing it(or when being shot while wearing it)

NOTICE

There's an issue with several groups not appearing in the zeus interface, even though they appear in the editor. I'm currently working very hard to figure out a solution for this so i can release a hotfix.

Thanks for the suggestion to edit my first post.

 

And to address number 3. To my awareness the randomization is the exact same as is currently present on vanilla LDF Soldiers, meaning at the moment eyewear gets randomized, i'd have to do double checking for helmet randomization however.

Work on the Vans has commenced and is going smoothly at the moment, by the next update you should have

  • Van Cargo
  • Van Transport
  • Van Transport (MP) 

In total this means next update will feature

  • Vans and Van varients
  • Coyote variants of all the LDF helmets

The MP Van is my highest priority at the moment, all thats there for me to do is figure out how to get the emergency lights blue.

Considering LDF has offroads, and the texs are already there, why not go with the offroad SPG-9 and offroad-HMG instead?

I decided that the 4WD might've just looked a bit better, less "insurgent" if you know what i mean, especially the HMG version of it.

HELMETS
- Coyote variants of all the Advanced Modular Helmets have been added

VEHICLES
- Van Transport added
- Van Transport (MP) added
- Van Cargo added

GROUPS
- Motorized MP Team & Motorized MP Squad added to both factions


MISC
- Pathfinder moved to editor cubcategory "Special Forces"
- All LDF Units now use the desert varient of the 4 .45 ACP pistol instead of the green one

I am currently working on 1 of the Gryphon camo's for the LDF, I plan to make another with a variation of the second camo coming after.

The second camo is practically complete, all theres left for me to do before release is to create recon & UGV Groups, create a special varient of the second geometric sky camo plane, verify that UAV's and planes function correctly, and finish the greyhawk.

Plans for the greyhawk have been dropped due to my general disinterest in it, however i have worked more on implementing the jet textures, as well as creating recon units (a creative decision, the vanilla LDF doesn't have recon units) to accompany the new UGV's

Vehicles

- LDF Gripens have been added, in four different camo variations

- UGV's armed and unarmed have been added

 

Units

- Recon units have been added to Special Forces, it should be noted that this was a creative decision as no LDF Recon units other than pathfinders exist in vanilla

 

Groups

- Recon units have been added

- UGV Recon and Assault groups added
