Again, good to see some support for JAM, I think it will work out well. To keep things a little organized however, let's keep JAM discussion in the JAM thread. Suffice it to say that our USMC weapons will use JAM mags by default.

The USMC soldiers are just about finished...the weapons are going well but not quite at the same stage of completion as the soldiers. The timeframe is actually partially due to some stuff we havent spoken of yet...keep a lookout in the the next few days for mention of one of the items that has contributed to the development cycle. In addition, the weapons will be J.A.M. compliant so completion of the J.A.M. system will also need to be completed. I know it seems to be taking a while for us to get these out...but remember there are only 3 of us on the project...Earl making the weapons, Suchey creating the soldiers, and Tactician doing scripting.

yeah, i was wondering why these were taking so long, until i downloaded the current conflict beta marine, then i realised how amazing and detailed these are going to be, and how much work they are putting into them

i bet these are gonna be the best units for flashpoint by far

i read somewhere that introducing kevlar helmets will take quite a while in Russian army, so most of soldiers will have to stck to steel ones in next few years.

With JAM standard (if would RHS go for it) that shouldn't be a problem.

It seems that if theres one commonality in Russian gear...its that there is not much common about it...in researching the Russian soldier, it was found that although there is a common "feel" to their gear, it was not un-coommon to see vast differences in it...some pictures showed soldiers from within the same groups wearing very different cammo schemes, some had completely different gear...the variety of stuff in use within the Russian infantry is amazing! Helmets for example...

...and thats just a few examples...aside from the motorcycle looking helmet, we have photos of just about every one of these on Russian infantry...we decided to go with the one we used because the "I dream of Genie" helmet look didnt really appeal too much to me ...I never thought of the "Spaceballs" thing before...but it does look like that! hehehehehe..."way the schwartz be with you".

Why wait for that, while earls weapons are so great! The textures on earls weapons are so good I don't even need an other pack!

The soldier on the picture wearing the weird helmet is a member of Alpha. The helmet is used by alpha and special units very often. The "regular" soldier is not likely to recieve such a helmet. And as suchey said; It's actually quite unlikely to see a group of russian soldiers all wearing the same gear and cammo. (the russians have cammo for every type of terrain and for every season on every type of terrain. Or at least it seems to be)
