Tille UV-Space

Tell me, does the UV-map size somehow affect optimization in Arma 3? If UV goes beyond the border. As an example, I want to use a grid (grille) in the materials on a machine. The texture itself has a resolution of 2k, and I would not want to reduce it, it is used as a normal map.

As far as I know, the UV mapping itself does not have physical dimensions, it is always a 1x1 space. It's the size of the textures that affect performance. I can also depend if you have one object with a high-res texture, or a 1000 visible at the same time.
