Signature mismatch ( Dedicated Server )

Recommended Posts

Hello Arma Community!

I am trying to set up a dedicated server for all of my friend to play on as my internet is not able to handle it anymore. I have set up the server with all of our mods and made it verify all signatures to make sure we all are loading the same mods to avoid conflicts.

However, when I try to join, A3 Launcher tells me that all of my mods have "signature mismatch" with the server when both my mods and the server mods are the exact same version. I have also made sure the keys are in the correct place and the correct version.

When I launch the same and try to look for the server that way, it only tells me that only JSRS (Core), 3CB Factions and Kunduz, Afghanistan are not signed.. when they are.

Here are a few screenshots

Launcher - https://gyazo.com/5d9da24f1765e43cbec6e7130c7f0f9b

Keys - https://gyazo.com/f655ff657907238e578ce1006f2122bf

In-game - https://gyazo.com/74efc38e82f4b19ba981abbd4307376c

I have noticed when I do not launch the server with JSRS, the launcher shows that there is no signature mismatch and everything is fine, except Kunduz and 3CB.

If anyone has any idea what might be causing this please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

the server needs exactly the same mods as the client now (down to pbo files)

for server side only mods there is -serverMods=

also when this is a linux box, you may run into the file handle limit

anyhow best join the arma discord and ask the in the server admins channel if you cant solve it

Did you check your logfiles on client/server?
signature missmatch should log which file caused the missmatch.

Hello, sorry for late reply ( Didn't get sent a notification 😕 )

Server logs say nothing, just that I connected and then left. However, I have found in the client log it says "Skipping signatures due to overflow flag being set.", is this because I have too many mods enabled? I thought you were allowed 25 mods on a server or w/e?

> Skipping signatures due to overflow flag being set

is irrelevant - just ignore

I see that very often when signatures break, sadly no information of what it means from BI.

Ignoring wouldn't fix my issue, as it's the thing causing it.

Would you suggest just removing the conflicting mods then?

"conflicting mods"? This doesn't say anything about conflicting mods. Your Arma denies checking signatures because of "overflow flag" whatever that might be, the server ofc doesn't let you play if you don't want to get your signatures verified.

I mean 3CB_Factions, JSRS and Kunduz as they are clearly causing the issue. I wouldn't even know where to start to look in order to fix this problem so I guess my way forward is just to remove them.
