- This is a port of my work from Arma 2  and Unsung but updated to Arma 3 specs and standards.:)
- Napalm bomb and White Phosphorus Smoke marker rockets.
- Napalm fire gives damage for full length of time for AI and players.
- AI cannot see through smoke and fire efx.

smoke marker rockets.. awesome. I tried to make some for the Ca-12 but failed.

Is it possible to add it to my aircraft? If so, what`s the hardpoints[] name : )?

That's awesome - Thank you very much!  Yes it helps.

I read somewhere that the CAC Boomerang / CA-12 used them to mark targets for Corsairs and were called smoky Joes. I think the T-6 did this kind of thing too. So this is a great addition, and something I never managed to pull off. Many thanks!

DSabre: The Boomerang used 20-pound smoke bombs to mark targets not rockets. Would be cool to have this added to a small bomb?

Only had the wiki picture of a T-6 with rockets so I assumed it would be similar

I don't know if they are smoke bombs - they look a bit heavier then 9KG. I'll keep poking around.

Thanks again - managed to integrate the rockets and also transfer the smoke effect to a small bomb (generic 3d model, not a special one..yet).

Also added a sightly toned down fire effect to the drop tanks

@Jnr4817, You could prolly do it with scripts.eventhadlers and spawning the effect by name upon hitting Ground.

Looks good although I haven't played with it yet.  One thought - when I added smoke marker rounds, I had the scripts create an invisible Heli H at the smoke site, so that scripted assaults on the position could be created.  The idea would be like a "broken arrow" assault where every plane in the air makes a pass on the spot.  The heliH pad would give any scripts a tangible object to work with.  Then after the last smoke particle lifetime expires, the script deletes the heliH pad.

 

Also, to keep smoke spam from killing MP sessions, I made the reload time really long.  The flip side is that one smoke marker round lasts for quite a while, which is consistent with RL videos.  Starting with the smoke marker rounds for the VME PLA mod I also have normal white, purple, and orange to ensure multiple CAS/FAC missions could be performed.

hcpookie,I like the idea of airstrikes and assaults on the position of the smoke marker round.Nice.:)The efx in this mod are hardcoded.there are no scripts at work whatsoever.I couldnt script myself out of a wet paper bag.:)I have made sure the AI wont spam and the reload time is slower than the standard rockets but prolly still able to be abused by players somewhat.I thought about adding different smoke colours but atm its focused around being a White Phosphorus weapon.Ive had a little experience with these weps/efx,i made the WP marker rockets for Unsung and VTE back in the day.:)

- Major Graphical update!
- Napalm efx and damage approx 3x bigger.
- Airborne napalm efx and damage will travel in the direction of the strike!!
- Now has CAS modules to add into your missions for instant napalm airstrikes!
- DustSabre's Secret weapons mod and military aviation pack now compatible.
- Firewills A-10, F-14,15,16,18 compatible.

Awesome job, mate!!!

Just one little thing: it's normal that regardless if it is laser-guided or unguided the bombs miss the mark quite a bit? (support module version)

I think so m8.I dont mind a bit of inaccuracy tbh.But i am going to look into that in a future patch.Almost always the bombs fall just a little short so it may be able to be adjusted.But atm,its a feature not a bug.:)

:yeahthat:....but no biggy m8...untill you'll feel the need for a fix (IF there's need for one, indeed...) I'll just compensate by adjusting the coordinates with a little offset. After all, 99% of the time the attack ingress is dictated from the module position...so it's easy to predict a bombing path.

EDIT: ..actually, just thinking about it...you're right:  a bit of inaccuracy is legit, especially for unguided bombs. Laser ones should be pretty precise though ( hence the "precision bombing" appellative😋 )
