Do you mean you want to show another island animation cutscene instead of the default rusty jeep in the desert?

OK, that replaces all the official island anims, if I understand correctly.

I myself am still curious to know how I can change the default anim at OFP startup.

Anyone know?

You're all too slow! tounge.gif

I unpacked \RES\DTA\anims.pbo and all the anim cutscenes are in there, including the ones for the demos and the credits anim. smile.gif . There's even a more minimal anim than OFP's rusty jeep one!

The anim cutscene that OFP starts off with (the rusty jeep scene) is called intro.intro.

From what I can see, there's no easy way to change OFP to start up with another island's anim. Correct me if I'm wrong.

However, it is done by OFP mods, such as Operation Code Blue and the Gulf War Crisis mods. Maybe a team member can tell us how it's done.

I'm taking a hunch that this is hard coded in either \RES\BIN\config.bin or in the game's EXE file.

hmmm...... I would have just edited 1 post there avon instead of submiting 3 posts and boosting your already huge amount of posts tounge.gif

I know that if u make a new island and play a mission without creating a mission to go in the background, you can still play in the background of the main menu. Thats fun.

I already edited the intros a long time ago. Just unpbo anims.pbo with PBO Decryptor and put the maps in anims to your username-missions, edit them, put them back to anims map and compress it. That's all.

It would be nice if BIS could add a DefaultWorld option somewhere, like on the command line or in Flashpoint.cfg.

That's exactly what I want. The one we all see now makes my mouth as dry as cotton. tounge.gif
