Model is creating odd Shadows

Recommended Posts

so I have been making a model for Arma 3 i have it all textured I have all my needed LODS. I have imported this into Arma and my model looks like this https://imgur.com/a/Q5Gy6lQ. I do not know what is going on here and why my stair case on the inside is causing a shadow through my Model.

More than likely there is an issue with the shadow lod.

It it must be closed. Have sharp edges. And be triangulated.

I checked my model in Object builder and used the Find Non-Closed button and nothing is highlighted. and my Model is triangulated.

Do you have the correct named properties in your geo lod?

To make sure the shadowlod is being used?

Dunno what happened to you question but I mainly stick to buildings. However I do know you need to make sure the shadow lod does not protrude outside the main resolution lod volume. So I always shrink my shadowlod down slightly.

it was actually the Shadow LOD There was still one spot that was not closed so once it was Closed the Shadow is gone. Thank you!
