I was playing around with the idea of GIF-like "animated" textures on vehicles & markers. Turned out better than I was expecting so thought I'd share it.

Works in SP/MP, documentation is on github. Can be loaded as a mod or packed into a mission file. The mod version is on SWS, both versions and a demo is on the github release.

This is something total new !!!

Congratulations Connor.!

I would like also to ask you if it's posible.

We i started creating my GF Blood Stains and SFX Script :

I was asked if it's possible to animate the blood pics , so that the blood pools would grow from none to full.

Might now this be possible ?

Thanks !

Hello EDcase ,

it is possible and it is like this in bloodlust , but the result is not that good and there is a problem with the surfaces ,it appears the ground to flash in the progress.

So this is why i'm asking.

Hi there, I've only taken a moment to see how your mod works but from what I've seen it is possible to do what you're asking.

There would end up being a slight issue with the animation looping once it finishes but I'll add something to toggle that later today.

Hey Connor, that is really slick man.  Great idea.  I hope @Grumpy Old Man doesn't watch your example vid in top post and see the dancing banana marker...  He'll definitely abuse that feature.

Do you know that since you created this, PAA animations really became a thing? You can do slide/zoom with textures using animation sources just like on 3D Models.

Of course not scripted solution but.... your stuff is mod config anyway.

I did not know that 😲
