No "Command Gunner" in Target Designation VR training

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this so apologies in advance if not.

 

In the VR training for "Target Designation" when I get to stage 3 where you need to utilize a AR-2 Darter to paint a target I can't actually enter gunner mode, only driver. The option is there in the UAV terminal but greyed out and not available at all in the action wheel. Thinking it was just something I was doing wrong I've double checked on youtube vids and it's clear that everyone else can access the gunner "seat". Has anyone else had this problem/does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I've tried restarting, reassembling the drone, destroying the drone to trigger a restart and restarting the PC. Not sure what to do at this point.

Forgot to mention (just in case this comes up for anyone else) that I solved this by just verifying the integrity of game files on steam. Should have done that before posting to be honest but hey ho.
