R3F Armes compat ACE3 with new reticle design, courtesy of the R3F Team

Description :

 

Basicly,  the same ACE3 compat R3F (ballistic part only) from the ACE3 Guithub with some improvements :

  • All reticles reworked to match as possible with all ballistics and to be accurate as possible with their real technical specification, the french military scopes SCROME J4, J8 and J10 in particular.
  • New reticles used by French Special Forces and Police counter terrorism units.
  • AtragMx presets for the R3F PGM, M107, TAC50, FrF2, HK417 20" and the SCARH PR/TPR calibrated with Strelok Pro.
  • Animated rechamber bolt action added with the FrF2, TAC50 and PGM Hécate 2, can be managed with the CBA Weapons Options (OPTIONS - ADDONS OPTIONS).
  • Proper cartridge ejection effect added with bolt action rifles.
  • Ballistics improved : default ballistic according with the Advanced Ballistics. All rifles and pistols have their own MVs (the HK417 12" hasn't got the same MV than the 20" for example).
  • Compatibility with CBA Joint Rails for the R3F scopes, silencers and front rail items.
  • MRT Accessory Functions added for all R3F lampes and pointeurs items, can be managed with the CBA Weapons Options (CONTROLS - CONFIGURE ADDONS).
  • Dispersion improved according with the ACE3 process.
  • Partial Compatibility with the BI's magazineWells and third mods magazineWells (when possible with CUP, NIArms, RHS ...).
  • Missing bipods icon in the inventory added.
  • mass, inertia, aimTransitionSpeed and dexterity updated according with the last BI values.
  • Full translation added (stringtable.xml).

All documentation and two missions by Ruthberg for testing the ballistics with the Eden Editor included in the "docs" folder.

 - Normal conditions with AB enabled can be switched by disabling the ACE Weather option.
 - The wind can be managed in the editor by disabling the Wind Simulation (map based) option.
 - The latitude of the map can be found in the Extended Debug Console with : Watch -> ace_common_maplatitude

 

This little addon requires CBAR3F ARMES and ACE3 , but can be played without ACE3 if the vanilla Arma 3 game is preferred.

 

Tested Single Player only (no MP), all feedback welcome.

 

If the Advanced Ballistics option is enabled, the SCROME J8 and J10 gyroscopic compensation reticles
must be selected by switching the Optics Mode.

Reworked reticles :

  • French military SCROME J10 : Magnification 10x, BDC reticle 500-1800m, Gyro compensation reticle by switching the Optics Mode if  Adv. Ballistics enabled, designed to work with the PGM Hecate II only. Zeroing in-game 1300m.
  • French military SCROME J8 : Magnification 8x, BDC reticle 100-850m, Gyro compensation reticle (550 - 850m) by switching the Optics Mode if  Adv. Ballistics enabled, designed to work with the FRF2 only. Zeroing in-game 100m.
  • French military SCROME J4 : Magnification 4x, BDC reticle 300,400,500,600 meters, designed to work with 5.56 rifles but can work with 7.62 rifles with some adjustment. Zeroing in-game 300m.
  • SCROME J8 / J10 MilDot : Zeroing in-game 100m, illuminated with "la mini Cyalume à l'arrache dans la bonnette" effect by switching the Optics Mode.
  • Night optic sight OB50 : Magnification 3.2x. Zeroing in-game 300m.
  • Diavari ZEISS 6-24x56 : magnification 6x-12x-24x, Second Focal Plane ZEISS Mildot reticle calibrated 12x according with the official documentation, illuminated by switching the Optics Mode. Zeroing in-game 100m.
  • Hensoldt 4-16x56 FF (ZEISS fake) : magnification 4x-8x-16x, First Focal Plane Hensoldt MilDot reticle, illuminated by switching the Optics Mode. Zeroing in-game 100m. HENSOLDT official site

just a quick update after the R3F weapons pack v3.6 release, a big thanks to the R3F team, links just above :


 - Add Glock 17 Gen5 ACE entries.
 - Add MLR reticle for the NXS 3.5-15x56.
 - Add Mil-Dot reticle for the NXS 12-42x56.
 - Add MiL-R reticle for the NXS 5.5-22x56 : real LRPS designation.
 - Add P4FL reticle : LRPS fake.
 - Add CQB reticle : DMS fake.
 - Add translation (stringtable.xml).
 - Fix the R3F faction pop-up when the R3F weapons pack is played alone.
 - Update the 9mm bullet Hit and the pistols dispersion.
 - Update the OB50 view : NVG only, this optic sight can't be used with high luminosity condition IRL.

Sorry, i just understand your question, you're talking about the @ace_compat_r3f to the ACE optionals folder, right ?

No, you don't need this @ace_compat_r3f and it's not recommended to use the both at the same time.

Hi, a tiny update to fix my splendid mistake with the SCAR-H CQC barrel length :

 

[v1.61] : release 2021/01/15

  • Fix the SCAR-H CQC barrel length according with the official FN HERSTAL documentation (airFriction, initSpeed and dispersion values according with the Advanced Ballistics).
  • Update minor things, mainly the Inventory icons and some weapons maxZeroing values for the vanilla game.

  • Add a S&B Shordot Dual CC MDR-T6 reticle (FFP 1xCC-4x-8x) calibrated according with the official S&B documentation (included in the docs folder).
  • Add ELCAN SpecterDR 4x 5.56 and 7.62 military reticles according with the official Elcan documentation and ballistic patterns (included in the docs folder).
  • Update the xml translations.

Hello, little update because i wasn't happy with my Nightforce NXS Mil-Dot reticles.

 

[v1.71] : release 2021/04/07

  • Fix lines and dots thickness for NXS reticles Mil-Dot 15x / 22x according with the Nightforce documentation (docs folder).
  • Fix the coordinates and scale of the Glock silencer icon in the inventory.
  • Fix the R3F_30Rnd_556x45_TRACER_SCAR inherited from the vanilla 30Rnd_556x45_Stanag.
  • Update the NXS MIL click values according with the Nightforce USA catalog 2011 (docs folder).
  • Update the .xml translation.
  • Revert to 500 meters the NXS 8-32 and 12-42x56 zeroing (AtragMx Zero Range will need to be updated).

  • Add ACE3 default and advanced ballistics compatibility for the updated @R3F Armes 3.7.4: HK416F, HK416A5, FN MINIMI, HK MP7A2 and PGM ULTIMA RATIO according to manufacturers datas.
  • Add an AP 4.6x30 DM 11 according to the RUAG documentation (docs folder).
  • Add an AP 12.7x99 HC SX according to the RUAG documentation (docs folder).
  • Add a Hornady subsonic 9x19 147gr for the HK MP5SD3 (Hornady and Strelok Pro datas).
  • Add a Lapua subsonic 7.62x56 200gr for FRF2, HK417 and SCARH (Lapua and Strelok Pro datas).
  • Add 5.56, 7.62 and 12.7 tracers and dim tracers ammunitions ("tracerScale", "tracerStartTime" and "tracerEndTime" according to Nammo datas, times of flight from Strelok Pro).

  • Improve 4.6x30, 9x19, 5.56x45, 7.62x51 and 12.7x99 "caliber" with the BI "*.bisurf" (data_f\penetration), the official Arma 3 penetration formula and the official Arma 3 Diagnostics Exe ("Shots") according to FN HerstalGeneral Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, MEN, Nammo and RUAG datas.
  • Improve 4.6x30, 9x19, 5.56x45, 7.62x51 "hit" according to the NIJ Body Armor Classification.
  • Update AtragMx presets (calibrated with Strelok Pro).
  • Update the stringtable.xml (translations).
  • Update SCROME J8 / J10 and S&B MDR-T6 reticles.
  • Update all mass according to ACE3 (will be eventually necessary to check loadouts).
  • Update the commented config.cpp (docs folder).
