Task Force 187, Marine Special Operations Team 1 “Outlaw”

 

Task Force 187 is a MARSOC Unit, Comprised of 4 Sections, MSOT 1, Containing our MARSOC Operators, Special Operations Combat Support, Containing our Support Assets (pilots, artillery etc.) Special Operations Intelligence Support, Containing our mission makers, intel analysts, roleplayers and zeus operators.  Scout Snipers, As the name implies, contain our Forward Deploying Scout and Sniper Team

 

We use ACE, ACRE 2 and RHS mods in this unit. In addition to other Cosmetic and Weapon Mods.

This post is specifically to advertise for our Marine Special Operations Team. We are seeking dedicated applicants to fill mission essential billets within our 15 man Team. Our Team is broken up into Three, Five man Tactical Elements.

We are seeking to create a professional, realistic MARSOC Team and undergo weekly missions against varying hostile forces, with a focus on Small Unit Tactics, and team camaraderie. Casual or infrequent players need not apply. We are ideally seeking someone who wants to join a Team, and work with the same group of individuals week after week, improving their own individual skill, and of the group as a whole.

 

To be Considered for MSOT 1, you must meet the following requirements

 

  • 16 Years of Age
  • Fluent in English
  • Willing to Regularly, if not always Attend Weekly Ops, and Weekly Team Trainings; If You cannot attend one or the other, this must be communicated to your Team Leader
  • Satisfactorily Complete the MARSOC Selection pipeline.
  • Own the APEX Expansion for Arma 3
  • Be willing to assist others in completing Selection, and assist in growing the community as a whole.

 

MARSOC Selection Pipeline

Our Process is designed to test applicants seeking to join MSOT 1, and to put them in situations commonly found in our Operations. It is broken up into the following courses

 

Special Operations Orientation and Assessment

  • Introduction to the mission set and expectations of a MARSOC Operator
  • Applicant will be guided in the creation of a MARSOC Loadout, that will be used throughout their tenure in Selection
  • Completion of a Land Navigation Course, to test the applicants knowledge of using the map in Arma 3, and how to navigate though the world
    • Applicant will be dropped into the Wilderness with a map and compass, and given a grid coordinate to reach, at that coordinate he will find a crate containing a item, and his next coordinate. At the end of the course; if the applicant has reached all the correct crates, he will have a specific combination of items.
      • This course should be completed in 1 Hour, or less
  • Rifle Range
    • Applicants will conduct a timed rifle range with a MARSOC Instructor, who will call specific target combinations at 6 shooting stations, the Applicant will move from station to station to induce fatigue and rifle sway. Applicants must overcome the sway and put rounds on target.
      • This Course of fire should be completed in 3m 20s or less.
  • Pistol Range
    • Applicants will conduct timed trial drills with a sidearm of their choosing.

Combat Diver and Parachuting School

  • This is the only part of the Selection process with any form of instruction.
  • Applicants will conduct introduction to dive and HALO, HAHO Jumps, and will be tested on all 3.

Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape (SERE)

  • Applicants will conduct a untimed Land Navigation Course, where they are being actively pursued and hunted by MARSOC Instructors
  • Applicants will be unarmed, and are free to use whatever methods, or tactics they desire to reach the extraction point.

Special Operations Team Introduction

  • Applicants will be introduced to the Roles, and members of their MARSOC Team, and conduct a small training operation with the team, to begin their introduction into the team. Applicants will choose their desired MOS at this time.
    • Note: If a billet is full, applicant cannot choose this MOS

 

MOS School

  • Applicants will attend a instructional course taught by the senior Marine in their desired billet to prepare them for their billet within the MARSOC Team.

Team Training

  • At any point during the Selection pipeline, an applicant is expected to attend 2 Team Trainings, put on by any of the 3 Tactical Elements.

Special Operations Combat Qualifier

Applicants will conduct a Live Fire Operation, with them in command of a 5 Man Tactical Element and will determine if they pass or fail the Selection Process; This Final Exam will cover everything contained within the MARSOC Pipeline and test the applicant on their leadership ability and teamwork skill.

 

If an Applicant satisfactorily completes all sections of the Pipeline, they will then be welcomed into MSOT 1 as a Critical Skills Operator (CSO)

 

This Selection Pipeline is designed to demonstrate the Applicants willingness to commit to the MARSOC Team, and vet them to ensure they are a good fit for MSOT 1. If you are unsure of your skill and wish to recieve instruction prior to attempting the pipeline, contact one of our instructors after you have applied and request to set up a instructional course. At any time the applicant may withdraw from Selection, and either Discharge out of TF187, or join one of the other 3 sections within the unit.


 

Our Weekly Operations are held on SUNDAY evenings, starting at 7PM CST (GMT -6) With a load in time of a half hour earlier at 630 PM
