PREI KMAOCH LUONG

 

- Straw Houses are highly resistant: Bullets hardly penetrate. They resist direct rpg hits.  They should go in flames when hit with enough tracer ammo and/or hit by RPG . Rifle ammo should go through the straw walls like hot knives through butter spaghetti!

- Bridges cannot be destroyed.  Vehicles do not recognize bridges as part of the road.

- AI infantry is unable to cross even low depth water crossings. 

- Some of the houses have sound effects of civilian life ..... speaking in greek! better keep them silent at all if you can't find cambodian sound effects.

- sounds of seagulls.   You should use Tanoa's jungle sound suite instead. 

- Drug trafficker's runway has nowhere to park planes... you could at least leave a flat area at same level and next to the runway so trees can be removed by user if they want to use the area as parking/platform for small propeller planes

Very nice work on the terrains so far!

 

Not sure if asked previously in the thread, but is the plan to release these terrains under separate mods or within an existing pack?

Very promising videos! :smile_o: I love the overall feel and look.

 

One question though: Will you add more vegetation and reed to the river banks? To make it look something like this:

Many riverbanks in ArmA are quite barren.

No there will be mostly taiga and canals. There will be a lake or two but nothing like your pics. Most water is salty or brackish and summer is short. Performance will not allow for that dense object placement either and that is why most arma maps don't have stuff placed in rivers.

I remember us discussing buildings for Katya and I am more than happy to see that it begins to look more and more like the real thing especially when it comes to urban and industrial areas 🙂 Theses areas are simply still dominated by soviet style architecture while a lot of rural areas still sometimes look like from the last century. Would be nice to see a few of those small villages too. Another landmark that comes to mind are theses typical orthodox churches..would be super cool if you could get them in as well . However ... even now the map being still wip it looks amazing !!

Waterways 20%

Rural and farmlands 20%

Wild taiga 35%

Urban/village 5%
