Looks and sounds like BF1942, OFP and a Sci-Fi movie rolled into one.

I would have to play it before I made my mind up if it would be my kind of game. Im very touchy on Sci Fi games.

wow, i just read the faq and it sounds pretty sweet to fly around in space, than land on earth and battle on the surface, but its multiplayer seems rather weak. only 16 players. but i'll definitly check it out for its single player mode.

Seems something similar to Battlecruiser 3000AD/Millenium if I understood right, could be interesting if its made better than BC

Bah, i don't like all those sci fi games. I prefer games about the past or what's happening now.

And if it really is a great game, i'll probable find it through this forum smile.gif

If you read PCZONE every month you will know its definately not a clone halo and is supposed to be something like tribes 2 with all the tactical options of flashpoint. Theyve played the code and they like it and they said flashpoint was a masterpiece biggrin.gif so thats some kind of reassurance smile.gif

Hey, as long as Microsoft does buy them out and slap an X-Box sticker on it, I don't care!

I hope that doesn't happen.

Before Microsoft bought out Bungie, there was serious work being done on both a Mac and a PC version of HALO, but that came to a grinding halt after the sale.

Microsoft then focused all of the development effort on the XBox version in order to create that "killer app" that would drive console sales and make the box profitable.

Breed was originally being made specificly for the PC but now its being done on the xbox as well. However there are SEPERATE temas doing it so it shouldnt have an effect on the pc version. Did you know brat-designs were only developed in 2000? its amazing what they are doing for newcomers. No one would of heard of this game back in 2001 because they were so new. Everyone was focussed on games such as BF1942 and didnt look at this masterpiece biggrin.gif

I'm definitely getting breed. It has that affect on me now that flashpoint had on me before it was released because of the games technical power. Fighting in space is very cool and just knowing that if i had a bad engine or something and had to land on earth is just an excellent idea. Also if this puppy is modable that means there's going to be a robotech mod for it and that gets me going too.

I just like the idea that i can fly directly from space down to earth, i have missed that feature in nearly all space sims i´ve played.

lol. You hit the nail on the head. That's what i mean by technical power. It's going to raise the bar for sci fi games in that sense just like ofp raised the bar for tactical shooters. I bet theres companies out right now trying to outdue ofp, and there will be companies trying to outdue breed. See what happens when you're a forerunner? Hey and maybe for the single player you'll get more planets you'll have the option to land on. I just hope all parts are equal. Sound, graphics, online, space combat, soldier combat, vehicles combat. That becomes a problem with big feature games (cough (ofp) cough).
