Eden editor firing behavior

Hello,

I've been trying to make a standoff type scenario recently in which BLUFOR and OPFOR stand on opposite sides of a river and cannot fire unless someone on either side starts it. But apparently, the behaviors are a bit misleading because both sides get into position and start firing because they are in the threatened state. Is there a simple way to make this happen or should I use Independents?

You can set in in CARELESS mode and then empty their inventories but then you would have to use a module in order to rearm them if they are to start fighting at some point.

CARELESS + Hold Fire should do it, no need to empty their inventory.

You can change the side to friendly and enable this back to enemy with a trigger .

Sure! You can setCaptive them too, until someone starts.. a player?

If they are distant (river), you can make them CARELESS. If too close, these dumb as..ole will throw grenades (and grenades only). The dirty half way of some BI AI unit behavior.
