[US/NA][Experimental] 04th MSAI - Mobile Suit Assisted Infantry

Recommended Posts

Here at the 04th MSAI we are a small group of friends based in North America, who have had enough of the rough mil-sim experience and want to enjoy the game as much as possible, while still maintaining the tactics and communication to complete missions with tact and precision.

We run 46 mods at the moment combining ACE, RHS, VSM, FFAA, OPTRE, HMCS, and more to create a unique sci fi experience. Our contractors are provided "Experimental Gear" and assisted by heavily armed bipedal mechs equipped with jump jets, this allows a single MSAI team to easily eliminate entire enemy platoons with the proper coordination.

We have a monster dedicated server and use simplified ACE settings to maximize your performance.

We do not provide training sessions, but will readily help those willing to learn practice. Since this is a company and not a mil-sim unit, we do expect you to have experience with Arma and ACE to some degree. We will go over our tactics and principles during your first op, and give crash courses on certain things if need be.

We don't care if you play with other people! Since this is a casual unit with little to no obligation you can play at your leisure.

We do ask that applicants are 18+, have some experience with Arma and ACE, and can play nice with others.

We have a teamspeak and use TFAR in missions. But Discord is our primary outlet.

Below is some backstory to bring context to your setting, equipment, and missions.

In the year 2045. Earth is almost depleted of its resources, but first world countries have convinced their populations through propaganda that all is well. Many of their citizens live in blissful ignorance of the resource shortage and the harsh reality of life outside their walled utopias, reassured by the presence of high security and surveillance..

The third world countries which still contain these much sought after resources are in near constant states of civil war or genocide, many being dominated by ultra-nationalist military factions.

In order to maintain their "good" reputations and provide a smokescreen for public opinion amongst their citizens; many of the wealthiest governments hire PMC's in order to not directly intervene with countries they have targeted for resources.

The 04th MSAI is a branch of Gun Griffon Private Military Corporation, the most prominent military contractor in North America. The CEO, Roy Huey, is a young and charismatic entrepreneur with an altruistic following of fans and financial backers.

His magnum opus, the High-Mac, is a bipedal mech equipped with a jump jets, a 120mm cannon, 30mm auto-cannon, 70mm dumb-fire missiles, and both AT and AA guided missiles. This experimental device is the primary support vehicle for the 04th MSAI.

The main task of the 04th MSAI is to perform operations assigned by the United States and other interested parties. Because they are private contractors, they are able to operate in a manner that most military forces are unable to, and have a much more diverse range of ways to complete their mission.

Teams generally consist of a 3-5 man infantry force supported by 1 High-Mac.

High-Mac pilots are hand picked, and augmented to withstand the high g-forces they experience. They are expected to scuttle the mech if it is immobilized or inoperable, as to avoid the experimental technology being acquired by the enemy.
