How to boost the FPS and make the game smoother?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I would like to know how to improve the FPS and the game performance?

I mostly use the Eden Editor to create missions, and I play during creating them!

I don't prefer playing in multiplayer!

About boosting the FPS,I have set the game parameters:cpu count,extra threads,hyper-threading,memory allocator,large-page support,system and video limit,file-patching etc.

I have unparked the CPU cores, and I also use ProcessLasso!

I have configured the video settings as some players have reccommended them on YouTube!

Please tell me which is the best memory allocator?

After I set the Large Page Support in Windows and Regedit, the custom memory allocator I used (from this forum) ,made the game crash on startup!

So I started using the Intel (default) memory allocator!

My PC is Lenovo Ideapad Y-700-15ISK gaming laptop with these specs:

i7-6700HQ CPU

16 GB DDR4 RAM

Nvidia GTX 960 M 4 GB GDDR5 GPU

Win 10 OS

I just don't know how to set the values for the Virtual Memory; so far they are set by the default like this:

Minimum allowed :16 MB

Recommended:2922 MB

Currently allocated: 2944 MB

And should I set the virtual memory for the both SSD and HDD?

Because my OS is installed on the SSD,while the games on the HDD!

Please tell me everything I can do!

Thanks to all in advance!

Best regards!

Move Arma3 to the SSD, that will smooth out the game for you.

Increase your ram if possible, and up the frequency of it too.

You can also ask here https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/187603-will-my-pc-run-arma3-what-cpugpu-to-get-what-settings-what-system-specifications/

Old Bear and a couple others know their computers pretty well in relation to arma3, hope that helps!
