ryanb 0 Posted April 7, 2018 So just finished playing a good session of liberation. look over to GPU tweak II that's been running in the background and its saying I'm using 11GB of VRAM from my 1080TI!!! now I'm not exactly playing safe with view distance of around 5km with objects to the same, with all setting basically maxed but I don't think the game should be eating that much VRAM at 1080. my rig consists of -I7-7740X (4.3GHZ) -ASUS GTX 1080Ti 11GB -SSD's -32GB Ram 3600mhz
KeyCat 131 Posted April 9, 2018 Why not? It's a good thing it uses all available resources.
Dedmen 2590 Posted April 11, 2018 It uses so much VRAM because it leaves as much data in it as possible. For examples texture of objects. Even if you haven't rendered that texture for half an hour. If the game keeps it in memory it won't have to reload it from disk next time it needs it. Also nothing else needs your VRAM anyway. And if something does then Arma will just remove the stuff it doesn't need to make free space for others.
