BobbyBonsaimind 0 Posted March 25, 2018 Currently the joystick support is limited to XBox-like controllers, are there any plans to address that? Also, the wiki post on the limitations of the ports talks about the ability to "remap things", but I can't find any more information. Does somebody have some more information on that? EDcase 87 Posted March 29, 2018 Welcome 'Ports' generally refer to Router firewall ports and port forwarding not physical connections. ARMA can use any USB controller (as far as I know) Remapping is done in control options, key bindings. (ARMA has a LOT of key bindings and some are doubled up for different situations so can be a pain to set up to your taste)
BobbyBonsaimind 0 Posted April 8, 2018 Quote 'Ports' generally refer to Router firewall ports and port forwarding not physical connections. Well, in this case it refers to the "ports to other platforms than Microsoft Windows". Quote ARMA can use any USB controller (as far as I know) Yes, but on Mac/Linux it is limited to what what a XBox360 controller can do. For example, a joystick with three axis can only used the first two. If the gamepad/joystick have more buttons or axis than a XBox360 controller, they are not recognized by ARMA. mustd 10 Posted July 25, 2018 Using my Logitech e3dPro with some hacks Ubuntu 16/18 LTS Arma3 version <= 1.80 1. Reboot PC with joystick disconnected 2. Connect joystick (usb in my case) 3. Run steam and go to bigpicture 4. Go to controller config, and map buttons for your device 5. Run Arma3 from bigpicture. 6. Joystick should appear in arma settings, disable it 7. Exit from Arma3, close bigpicture. Done. On next run of Arma3 you should be able to map joystick actions in controls config. Joystick should be connected right before playing. Joystick should be disconnected on each boot of OS
BobbyBonsaimind 0 Posted August 12, 2018 As I said, the problem is not that it is not recognized, the problem is that it can't use all the axes and buttons.
