Always welcome! Theres still a sh**tload of work to do, think you can test it in about 3-4 weeks. 1/4 is done now, but there are still several difficult tasks to do. Thank you all for the motivation!

Shooting range 5 is made for armored basic training group sized

Are there going to be placeable objects like the shooting range sign included with the map?

Wondering if there's a possibility to not have wrecks in the prep-areas like on the last image? For communities that might base their training there etc, it could be helpful to have space like that free'd up for placing of vehicles etc!

 

Otherwise it looks splendid, can only reiterate my previous statement that this will definitely be welcomed with great enthusiasm with my folks, keep up the awesome work!

All you have to do is place down an Edit Terrain module in Eden and you can remove wrecks, vegetation, or entire structures from the environment if it doesn't suit the need for your mission.

T72 Wreck removed :) Believe me, there will be enough places for vehicles at the range bases :) Will post pictures of the entire base later this day.

Yes, all custom objects will be editor placeable. A list of all objects will be included with the map release. 

 

Planned for release are:

- MP compatible, radio controlled popup target sortiment specificly for AAF/NATO

- Range signs

- Artificial range houses and curches

- Range control towers

- At least one more tank wreck

- Maybe some details and small assets

Short answer is: no

 

I`m sorry to give you that negative answer, but if you want to do CAS missions, put a carrier next to the island. Maybe I'll add an airfield later, but for the first release, it will be a proving ground for armored troops and infantry. There is a heli landing site with 4 helipads at camp asteria, thats it.

That's okay, no need to apologise.

 

4 helipads is okay.

 

I'm sure the ranges and open spaces will be suitable for training CAS in anyway.. and as you say, a carrier will suffice for an airfield.

Short update: Map is 45% done now, most areas in the east are ready, sr8 is done and now i will start with 9 and 10. Object placement just reached external camp themis in the north

There are 2 military ports and one small civil port for fishing etc. Will show you pictures when they are entirely finished.

Sorry guys for this late update, I was extremely buisy on duty last days. We've finished Shooting Range 9 and 10, populated the north and first parts of the west with flora. Also we've finished Camp Themis and started work at the, still civillian polulated, villages Ormos and Kalogria, right next to camp themis.

Hiya mate, loving the map so far, looks pretty suited for a milsim actually... I was wondering, see the Camp Themis sign? Could you perhaps provide a texture template of some sort in the final release for mission makers to change the insignias etc on the sign?

Sure I can! Should be no problem! And thanks, since I used to be a tank commander for several years and have a load of pictures of military training grounds, it should be VERY suited for milsim, especially for mech/armored milsim units.
