How many soldiers can form a squad

I'd like to buy Arma 3 with all DLC.

I'd like to know also how many soldiers can form a squad managed by the artificial intelligence in a mission created with the mission editor.

You can have up to 288 groups per side.

Units per group does not seem to have a limit (besides CPU/GPU).

Managed to spawn 3000+ agents on the entire Takistan map,  only issue seems to be GPU memory being flooded pretty fast if you want to render more than 1000 at a time. That was before buying the gtx 1080 though.

Screenshot shows ~250 AIs in Nagara, fps was around 50 with my old gtx 770.

PS: It's highly not advisable to spawn that many AI at the same time in a regular mission.

Dogs are the only ones mentioned not ambient, but they are agents indeed. The snakes though, cracks me up to see them slithering on a snow map. I lived in the desert for 10 years, hiking and all that, never saw one. But Arma 3 is like snakes on a plane!
